Apparently this week has seen the opening of a Schwarzenegger museum dedicated to Arnie and located in his childhood home.

What's the weirdest museum you've been to?
I've been to the Sex Museum in Amsterdam and the Torture Museum in Prague.

Not been to either, but there's an underpants museum in Belgium and a penis museum in Iceland.

These are all pretty interesting but for me the weirdest museums in the world are dedicated to Creationism.

They have re named the St Albans Organ Museum the St Albans Organ Theatre. Apparently the old name didn't conjure up the joy and happiness you get from looking at and playing with organs of different shapes and sizes.

I'm afraid some of them are. You'll find dinosaur bones and artifacts, with a bunch of lies about what they could represent.
They're museums alright, just immoral ones.

The ICOM (International Council of Museums) definition of a museum is:
A museum is a non-profit, permanent institution in the service of society and its development, open to the public, which acquires, conserves, researches, communicates and exhibits the tangible and intangible heritage of humanity and its environment for the purposes of education, study and enjoyment.

Oh well that's that then.
Except it's not is it? Most of those things are subjective, and I don't particularly care what ICOMs definition of a museum is. I know what a museum s, I've been to many, and this strikes me as a particularly pointless argument.
If there is something called a creation museum, you walk in and it's got museum exhibits, dinosaur bones and purports to tell historical truths, it's a museum. It's a dishonest one IMHO, but it's still a museum!

Not at all. Calling these ridiculous places a museum gives them a status they shouldn't have. They are well funded, profit making, theme parks for the propagation of ignorance.

You are clearly misinformed as to what a museum is.
Good or bad these are still museums,
