Last year you were able to go to the concrete company based at Ackton Hall Ind. Estate and get the concrete that was left of the day for free, Could we ask them if they have any left then would they dump the concrete on the area where we need it? I know someone that used to go regularly at the end of every day and get it when the lorrys came back as they had spare concrete and it got dumped before washing the lorry out if nobody wanted it. Maybe if they give us lots we Could name 1of the stands after their company as advertising for 2years

That is an outstanding effort. I was chuckling inside when you said that you put them on ebay! I thought who is going to want stadium seats. Well what do I not. Fantastic work and great effort by everyone who is giving their time up to enhance the Fev Rovers cause.
Anything I post is a personal opinion

Paul Covo is on holiday next week, however Roger is keen to keep the momentum going and is going to Scarboro next Tuesday (4th Oct.) Roger needs a few volunteers to make it worthwhile so anyone who wants to help can they see Roger or text him on 07957171442 ASAP. Be at the Rovers at 8am for 8.15 departure. The work consists of removing the few remaining seats, roof preparatory work and marking up of pieces. Roger is also available on Monday (if enough are able / in a fit state to go) but cannot make it the rest of the week.

More good news!
I've been speaking to the Transport Manager at work about getting a major haulage firm involved in the moving of the stands from Scarborough to Fev. Early days yet but Covo is in negotiation with my contact and things are looking promising
'Hint' its the one who have a stadium named after them and who are curently filming a new tv series about their business. Imagine the headlines now, other firms move pallets and boxs, we move stadiums. Would be good publicity for us too if it came off.

I had t giggle when watching the game again on tv and the Sky team were discussing that we had gone to a stand shop to buy our new stands and then they mentioned we had also sold the red seats on the net. How I smiled proudly and said to myself, that was me ha ha

Has anyone been to Scarborough this week? Took anymore pictures. The roof of one stand must be nearly off by now. Surely work will be starting at Fev soon to remove the railway end terrace.

You must be joking. What on earth do you think we four volunteers, including two pensioners, are capable of?. All seating removed and main supports removed from the roof area of one stand. We require more volunteers and although appreciating work committments,it is dissapointing to witness this lack of support.

I really appreciate the effort people have put into the stadium. If I lived in fev I'd be well tempted to help in the summer holls... When the stuff is transported to fev I'd be happy to do some donkey work though.

There is a thread to post when volunteers are required so someone needs to update it when and if the bus is going through. I maybe available again next Thursday or Friday if needed but it usually is the same 4 turning up.

The removal of the stands has been going on for the past three weeks and is continuing. You must be joking. What on earth do you think we four volunteers, including two pensioners, are capable of?. More help is always needed. If anyone wants to help you could get in touch with the club.
