anyone have views on this you can play super league at 16 and ncl rugby at 16 not sure what it is in nwc ?? but we aint aloud to play 16s in the b&d league ? ? ? my personell opinion is yes you should be aloud to play them if there good enough anyone agree / disagree !!!

You can play at 16 years of age.
The ruleing is that you have to be 16 and have finished school, ie you can not play if you are 16 but still at school.

Thanks for clearing that up redwhiteandblue, however i still agree with old millom town, if deemed good enough and able to cope with playing open age by the coach, i think you should be allowed to play. Must be a line drawn somewhere though.

There is a line drawn, you have to have left school, just think if there was no limit we could have coaches playing 15 year olds etc, dont think that would be in the best interest of the kid, I would assume that there is a need to meet insurance demands aswell.

i know they have to be 16 years old and left school i should of said that in my post what is the diference between 16 and left school and just being 16 ??? why should it make any diference weather they have left school !!! like i said my opinion is as soon as there 16 they should be aloud to play when you say you have to draw the line that should be it as soon as your 16 you can play ...

Im sure if you can get insurance to play Super league and NCL it should be ok for the B&D as well. What differance does it make if youve left school If someones 16 in September and still at school they would have to wait nearly 12 months to play open age where as someone in August could be playing a week after their birthdays,No body has said anything about playing anyone younger.
