I wish to offer my humblest apologies for what I called Town fans earlier in the week. As I said to John Drake, I was just winding your players up, getting them motivated to beat Keighley, for which I thank you.

We will now do our best to beat Whitehaven again on your behalf.

I have a lot of admiration for Cumbrian League fans, (I know you won't want to hear this, but...) both Town and Haven fans have always made Swinton feel very welcome, we used to stop off in Cockermouth, to have a beer in a pub next to Jennings brewery when we travelled by coach, I hope visiting fans still do (Can't remember the name of the pub though as it's been nearly 20 years since my last visit)

I genuinly hope you get promotion through the play-offs, if not, when RFL expands Championship. You are now officially forgiven for knocking us out of a play-off spot last season, on the last day.

PS, I wouldn't be seen dead in a MUFC shirt, as for looting in Salford, I live in Sussex, why would I want to loot Poundland there?

All the best, good luck for the rest of the season.

Bleep1673, I accept your apology and as I called you a d**khead for what you said I now offer an apology to you also. Hope to be playing Swinton next season in the Championship. Fingers crossed.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Congratulations on being champions, you have suffered more than most over the last few years, I hope you get your new home in the Swinton area very soon. Well done. Please don't ease up on them jam eaters next week, give them a good hiding for us.
