if its like today, dont go into main carpark cos they'll take £3 off ya, then when you get out of the car they send you round the otherside of the stadium to a makeshift ticket office on john st and thats where the turnstiles are.....there is plenty of on street parking surrounding the ground, usually for permit holders but not on a sunday.....pick an interpretter up from the railway station on ya way to ground for the ground announcements
There are no strangers at Post Office Road, only friends who haven't met.

Moan moan and another 3 moans!!!!! Why is it away fans can only bemoan the facilities available to them when they travel. Sheffield Eagles are lodgers at Bramall Lane and have very little say on match days, although they have listened to constructive comments from supporters last season and arranged to sell tickets from an area on the john street side where all the facilities are and to make it quicker and easier to gain entry in a timely fashion. As for car parking the main car park is available for those who want a safe tarmac surfaced and security patrolled facility, at a reasonable fee of £3 and only a 5 minute walk to the John street entrance. As for the ground announcements must admit it did sound garbled but I do believe there was a PA system fault. But if your English language isn’t up to scratch I’m sure if you ask anyone else in the stadium they could S P E L L it out for you   .

Ian, welcome and in answer to your post if you park in the main car park and head to the John street side via Bramall lane you have the choice of 2 pubs the ‘Railway Hotel’ which is ok and the newly reopened ‘Cricketers’ which seems to be a favourite for both sets of fans and sells Kelham Island ales at a very reasonable (for Sheffield)£2.40 a pint. Alternatively there is plenty of free on street parking all around the ground, the best being on the Bramall lane side and close to the pubs.

Hope you enjoy your visit

Dunno, cos they are unhappy at the arrangements perhaps or feel £3 is a lot to pay when it is free at the other side of the ground where all the ticketing and facilities are??? Again, I don't know why people moan. Why do you think it may be?

Well, I moan because it's my hobby.

So .... enlighten us ... what do Rovers charge for parking, Robin ?

As opposed to the free parking down the road ?

Dunno, I always use the roadside - it costs nowt!!!! Then I go into the ground where the money I've avoided paying for parking me car is now prized out of me wallet by all manner of money relieving schemes that rovers deploy around the ground! I usually go home skint one way or another!

ironic - it's never cost me owt!!!!! Cos I park my car a whole 1 metre away from the car park!!!!
Anyone else wanting to park their car FOC (subject to their own risk) have the ultimate task of walking a whole metre away from the car park!!! and it's FREE!!!!

Unlike at Sheff - where it's at the other side of the ground (granted, it's not like you have to walk the pennine way), but nevertheless it is at the other side where you can also park for free!!!

Like I said, I don't know why visiting fans get the hump! I can only guess. Maybe I'm missing a point Richie. What do you think??

So, what are you saying, Robin?

People park free at one side of the ground and complain because someone else is being charged £3 at the other ?

No, I'm saying I don't know why people are complaining - that's what I said in my post Richie!!
However, I offered a possibility that parking your car at the opposite side to the ground where the stand/ticketing/facilities are - and being charged £3 for the privelage when it's FREE at the side of the ground where all the action is - MAY, JUST MAY, be a reason!!! But like I said, I don't know as I haven't asked anyone.
And as you didn't offer any viable comments to that question I'm making an assumption that you don't either - unless, like you, folks just like a good whinge perhaps!!

Keep smilin Richie.

At least you get value for money at Fev.

Cheaper than the "Mind-your-car-for-a-fiver-mister?" kids..........
