you must be joking John it was Ronnie who robbed Hunslet a win against Widnes at home when he disallowed a perfectly good try by Grimmer to go 10 points clear with 5 minutes to go the mans a liability reffing any game hes incompetent. You lucky people, you have old one eye Ronnie as your ref;, thats a deffo win for you lot.

Well, that's cheered me up no end this morning !!
So, as well as trying to predict a game against the most capricious team in the league - who have managed to win at Leigh and Featherstone this season, but come away from Toulouse and York without even a bonus point - we are now expected to enter into the surreal world of Uncle Ronnie to try and work out how the game will go on Sunday ...
Impossible ... utterly impossible.
Let's just hope we do what we need to do, which is match whatever Dewsbury and York do (which could well of course mean we don't have to do anything
Incidentally, as a defeat for Leigh at Dewsbury tomorrow would give Featherstone the title, I see a fair few Rovers fans are going to this game to cheer Dewsbury on. Maybe a few Hunslet supporters should think about making their own way up to the Rams Stadium to cheer Leigh on ...

Basically if they put Crusaders into the Championship, then it will be two down (9th and 10th). If they put Crusaders into the C1, then it will be just the one down (10th). Either way, it will make two divisions of ten.
BUT (and here's the rub) ... they're not going decide what they're going to do with Crusaders for another couple of weeks or so.
So when I say they've decided what they're going to do, I really mean that they haven't actually decided very much at all in fact ...

Meanwhile, looks like they've decided what they're going to do regarding relegation from the Championship ...

That's brilliant news for the Rams.If we can manage to get beat by Leigh by 70 points and Toulouse can beat Barrow by 35, we'll finish 11th. If only 9th and 10th go down, superb

Trust the RFL. Crusaders have until Friday I believe.
... and we can't finish eleventh ... ###### - we've missed a trick there !!
True that Crusaders have until Friday to apply, but a decision won't be made until the season's over for the likes of us ... see last paragraph ...

Well I am totally lost now.
Whatever happens you need to win Sunday to guarantee survival. Both Dews and York could win and still not guarantee survival, but you can.

Still think we can beat Fax though but we need to speed the play of the ball up and continue where we left off against Barrow.
Come on the hawks!

Well I am totally lost now.
Basically
8th place definitely survives
9th place may or may not survive, depending on whether they bring Crusaders into the Championship (next week) - if they do, then 9th goes down to allow for two divisions of ten next year ... if they don't, 9th survives
10th place definitely goes down
11th place - i.e. Toulouse - is leaving the competition and can be disregarded.
Hope that makes it clear

Even more daft when you consider there is a rare old battle amongst ourselves, Dewsbury and York to STAY in this division.
Maybe that is what is really lacking in Super League - the pressure to avoid relegation !!!

Tried the email and was unsuccessful. The RFL have informed me it has changed to makingituponadailybasis@rfl.co.uk but have also said it could change another half a dozen times before the season ends or begins or starts or finishes, they weren't sure which.

Sunday we have Jim Gannon, Sam Barlow And Sean Penkywicz back in the squad. Along with Black, Worrincy, WHite, Greenwood. I see the only way for you to win is to slow us right down without giving away the penalties.

Ah but all of those - with one exception - played in the game at The Shay in June, which we could and should have won. But it's that one exception - a certain Mr. Penkywicz - that could be of most concern of us. We shall see ...
... Anybody heard anything about who's in (or out) for us on Sunday ??
