So, there's talk on twitter that the lid may finally be blown on the current situation at CP as soon as today.

Suggestions are that DJ will be leaving and scarily there's talk of relegation to C1.

Perhaps we should be preparing to brace ourselves!

Well done Des, big thankyou for bringing back the 2 local derby's. Would b nice to here what the very few on here who were reluctant to have ago at our fantastic Chairman. Come on Dibble, Jamie, Rooster whats your thoughts now.

Heard the same thing myself and if its true then the club needs a clean out from top to bottom anyone implicated no matter how small has to go.This is all hearsay at the moment but if its all lies(as some people on here will try and make out or its a smoke screen or something to take the news away from the ned saga ) then the club should come out and make an official statement straight away one way or the other.But i cant see that happening as we are still waiting for the annual accounts to materialise As the policy of the club is bury there heads in the sand and hope it blows over

Because I refused to have a go at the Chairmen does that mean I'm a bad person?? There was a lot more than 3 that haven't joined in having a go.

From a forum housekeeping point-of-view, is there really any need to start yet another new thread about all this stuff? Wouldn't adding it into one of the several existing bad news topics have sufficed? I think we've all got the whole "excrement hitting the extractor" message. It gets tiresome to have a new thread created every time, that's all.

Most people prefer not to comment on hearsay, preferring to comment on facts, regardless of whether the hearsay turns out to be true. For every correct rumour, there have been usually two or three others that are laughably wide of the mark.

As a final point, how come all this stuff always seems to get leaked out on Twitter first, or to Richard De La Riviere and the other vultures before it comes out officially? Is this evidence that there are elements close to the RFL who are themselves as corrupt as they come?

I think thats the whole point if the rugby would put statements out not just about this issue the club accounts spring to mind the ned allegations + the ground improvements do i need to go on,then i dont think you would get all these rumours.

You cant tell me that no-one from the BOD or friends of the BOD do not read this forum so to stop all the rumours why dont they release a statement and this would stop all the rumours.

AB what is your purpose in having a go at other fans. Some of which have done more for this club than all but a couple of others on here would do in 10 life times.

I never joined your little lynch mob either, neither did many other posters who it seems have disappeared in response to the change in attitude on this board in recent months. As Dave W said, some of us prefer to judge a situation on the facts and have the patience to wait for them.

What do you and those like you expect to gain from your vitriol and recriminations? Are you just satifying your ego's, settling a personal scores or is it some people can't conduct themselves with a little dignity and restraint when dealing with bad news and potentially difficult situations?

I would suggest peoples energies would be better spent considering ways they could better support the club through what is likely to be a difficult year or two.

Hang on a minute. We have had people on here screaming about due process and behaving in a professional manner. The RFL make and have made statements regarding the club being investigated and that we will find out if we face further charges at the end of the month. They made a statement about the current position with Ned and explained the need for no further comment.

Now you are asking them to respond to internet speculation and malicious gossip. Is that professional behaviour. I agree that comms could be better but what you are currently speculating on needs to come from the RFL to confirm any investigation or charges the club faces.

I actually like going to Workington and Whitehaven,however at least one could be promoted so you may be jumping the gun a bit.So I get slated for not joining in the rumour mongering and mud slinging thats fair enough,I'm big enough to take it,I've always said I will make my decisions when the full "FACTS" are published and up to now they still haven't been.I have a few thoughts that I would rather not put on here,however I will be at the presentation night on Friday,if you want to speak to me about them feel free to come and see me.

I'll tell you why Dave.........because thats life unfortunately. If you can't think of the reasons why there is a delay in official releases then I doubt theres much point in trying to explain. I, and others, have never commented on hearsay Dave.....only fact.

As for it being on this forum......when things like this happen I suggest thats exactly what forums are for...surely???? If people have issues with Des and the BOD's being criticised then this message board is not the place to be right now.

im not being funny here but isnt this the whole point of a forum to discuss gossip, rumour and to talk about the great club we have

if people want to write rumours let them, if they want to write ###### let them

but you cant have a go at people for writing these things!we all have the club at heart although some do have a strange way of showing it

the club cant comment on everything that we hear else they would be forever making statements, but i think all beckside is asking for is the club to let its paying customers know something official once in a while

too much to ask?

Reliably informed that the lid is going to be blown off the barrow raiders saga by the weekend. More salary cap cheating.
Possible punishment includes relegation to C1. Have heard most players will leave. Also heard the chairman will be leaving.

Two points. One, I'm primarily talking about forum housekeeping, not the posts made hereon. People can and will post whatever they want. BUT, an efficient admin would have merged half of the topics on here before now. No need for multiple threads on the same subject, surely?

Two; Have you presumed I'm having a go at you or defending DJ? If so, not true. I'm personally getting sick of the whole circus. One thing's for sure, though; we're definitely down to put-up or shut-up territory. Much of what you have hinted about over the last year or so is turning out to have been broadly accurate. The problem for the rest of us, not "in the know" is that the truth can get lost in the quagmire of rumour, stirring, bollokcs, hearsay and Chinese whispers.

But there has been statements made and reports confirmed regarding the RFL penalty, its current investigation and the situation with Catic's claims in the media. Anything else would be responding to gossip and rumour.

This forum is not a medium for communication with the club, nor is it a publication method for club statements. The official site provides that or a direct approach by letter. But please be aware that the club is under no obligation to respond to questions from individuals.

This whole situation from Salary cap to poor comms is crying out for greater supporter involvement. Why do we not have a supporters truct or official supports club who could represent the fans in communication with the club, maybe even be represented on the board.

I'm honestly presuming nothing Dave. I agree wholeheartedly with your last sentence mate.....I'm only making the point that this forum will very soon become a hotbed of such posts and that I completely understand why also. Please don't think I was being patronising, this forum is the only outlet for some supporters.......if they want to start a new thread-let them.
