Rule C.1.1.7 – failing to record in player contracts all financial benefits or benefits in kind that a player is receiving;
Rule C.1.1.11 – no club or club official shall loan money or goods or make payment or provide any benefit in kind to a player unless they are recorded in the player’s contract;
Rule D1.8 (f) – misconduct by committing a breach of Championship Salary Cap Regulations.

It's a pity the RFL don't take a close look at several clubs in both Championship divisions that openly known to pay signing on fees, yet don't register the fact. Do those kind of payments come under the salary cap or not?

There up ^#*%+ creek without a paddle, and I think it's going to keep getting worse until I gets better. I think they will be relegated and have points deducted which are suspended until next season(6 i think). And I honestly can't see them being very competetive in champ 1 for a year or 2. Most of the better local barrow lads play for town and I can't see many returning to club ran the way that it is, and yes it's a shame, this is the 2nd season running where a Cumbrian club have Messed up it's finances.oh well at least there will be town to fly the flag for Cumbria in the championship.

Care to name names or is this just knowledge based on word of mouth/rumour? How do you know any such consideration is not recorded in the players' contracts - have you seen the contracts?

I am suggesting it might not be going on but to claim you 'know' is very strong and needs some backing up.

I'm sure that every man and his dog knows that 'backhanders' or 'illegal payments' have been rife in our game for years and years and its nigh on impossible to police, regardless of the salary caps etc.

Dont want to start naming names, as i dont fancy a legal Battle!
