I think Griffin has been a little unlucky not to be selected as always seems to be consistantly good makes hard yards and defends well IMO....

griffin very unlucky hes more consistant than crabtree but then i would like to see crabtree start games more often
I know what you mean I think a lot of coaches have this theory of impact players from the bench and he does have that with his size and offload but its no good having an impact if your already 20-0 down. Against Aus etc you need to get on top of them or at least get into the arm wrestle from the very start.

Cudjoe, Robinson, Brough and Crabtree selected for the 4N squad, while McGillvrey, Ferguson, Lawrence and Patrick have been inc in the Knights squad.
Brough shouldn't be in the squad. He's not fully recovered from the ankle injury he sustained in June.
He shouldn't have been playing for Huddersfield, let alone England.

I think his ankle is healed, his problem is not being up to march fitness properly...and making some howling errors in defence because of it.
Story in the local paper suggests otherwise. It mentions that the reason he hasn't returned to full kicking duty in the team is that it hurts his ankle to kick the ball.
Not the half back England need. And not the off season rest that Danny Brough needs either.

TBH Ive been wondering who would be best for England in the 4N at S/H and Brough's late season form has confirmed it for me that Lomax is the man for the job. Widdop has developed a good kicking game at the Storm and taken on more organising responsibility which would leave Lomax free to take on the line a bit more.
However, I can see BigMc not using Lomax and going with a tried and tested player instead such as Robinson or heaven forbid McGuire who has been terrible behind a team that hasnt gone forward but is just showing glimpses that BigMac may pick up on I hope for the sake of England he gets nowhere near the team but I am now worried.

Sounds exactly like the international scene since year dot.this is some sort of joke, right? why are we picking players who go into meltdown if they don''t get exactly the same conditions week in week out. the refs used won't be all sl refs so how will the poor, confused lambs of hudds cope? hell, will an aussie accent barking 'mmooooovvee' really screw them up.

Cudjoe would be in my starting lineup, probably on the wing.
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon

While I don't necessary agree with his recent inclusions in England squads, he is normally one who is included.
I still reckon Andy Lynch has been hard done by, Richard Owen too.
