Brett Carter signed for two years last season so he is already there.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

I hope the stack situation gets sorted early on, rather than dragging on like last year. It would be massive if we could keep him but I just can't see it happening. Let's get pedley signed up ASAP as well.

. His experience might help shacks and phillips improve there game and with the likes of ginge, armi and gus leaving/retiring we are going to be low on experience. I think it's a good move and let's hope he leaves the game with a championship winning medal. Now let's please get peds and stack re-signed.

I agree wonky although I would dearly love to see him run with more conviction and possibly break a tackle now and then!!!! Having said that I would move him up to prop next season.

I cant see him being on big bucks, but while not being exactly dynamic he gets through a lot of work and has all the experience in the world.
Depending on our squad next season he may not start every game but he is still a solid squad member. He gets a ton of stick from the terraces but he gets to play as he is reliable and the coaches love players like him they can rely on to take the ball in and tackle.
The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!
