Were looking very thin on the ground for props. Has anyone got ginges number? Lol

At this present time we have 14 players signed on. Barrow for all their troubles and delays waiting to select a coach, etc, now have 10 players signed on. It's one thing saying we are going for quality rather than quantity but at the end of the day we need bodies on the pitch and a squad of players in order to cater for injuries, etc. Where are they going to come from? I get the impression we are struggling in the recruiting department!!!!

It is very worrying Keith, I honestly thought Peter lupton would of been a town player, but scorpions are said to be on the verge of signing him. To be fair another second rower or loose forward should be near the bottom of our wanted list, with stack, whithead,Phillips, cotter, olstrum, shacks all available for them positions. But props, half backs and a couple of very good hookers are a must and until there recruited were in trouble for next season. I think the quantity/quality quote is perhaps a cover for us struggling to attract players.

It says in today's paper that mcgoff chose barrow because of work commitments, but surely that's going to be the case for all the barrow contingent. It was only 3 days Charlo was claiming we only needed 4-5 new faces, it's looking to me as being closer to 14-15.

It seems like South Wales are going for it this season as they are rumoured to be signing Lupton and Jamie Rooney, plus a few other players including Joe McKenna.

Dobbo's name was the last one on the Town list of players names in the play-off programme at Warrington!!!!!

Scottys support play will be a huge miss for town, but I honestly believe we have a more than capable replacement in young bamber, who in my opinion is a better all round player especially in defence. Good luck to Scott though and thank you for 2 good years.

We can't knock any of the lads who travelled up from Barrow for us. I know I wouldn't like to face that journey on a regular basis, so thanks very much to them all. When one door closes though another one usually opens and young Bamber will step up to the plate this year for sure.

Totally agree Keith, the lads gave there all in a town shirt. And as I've said many times the 2 who were not replaceable were carter(who is already signed on) and pedley, who we have to replace with quality or maybe tempt an old face to return.
