Feel free to add your teams pre season fixtures as and when they get announced.

So far for my club we have confirmed the following:

26/12/11 Castleford Tigers vs Bradford Bulls
15/1/12 Featherstone Rovers vs Bradford Bulls
29/1/12 Hull FC vs Bradford Bulls

We will also be playing Dewsbury but that hasn't been confirmed with a date yet.

**I'll be covering all of the above fixtures for Radio Royal if anyone is feeling Rugby League starved and needs a fix**

The new season is nearly upon us :D

I do hope a number of SL Clubs will be putting out strongish sides against Championship and Championship 1 Clubs.I appreciate Bradford are playing Dewsbury and Leeds normally go to Hunslet, whilst Harlequins play Skolars etc,but for example,I'd like one of the Hull clubs to go to Gateshead, perhaps Warrington to Swinton and Cas to Sheffield - those sought of games, where a relatively well supported team, gives an early season cash injection to some of the lesser supported clubs.Maybe Huddersfield to Oldham, that sort of thing.

Fev are sorted:

Quote

FEATHERSTONE Rovers will warm up for the 2012 campaign with four pre-season friendlies.

They have home games on successive Sundays against Hunslet Hawks (January 1), Hull Kingston Rovers (January 8) and Bradford Bulls (January 15). All three fixtures kick-off at 3pm.

They visit Super League champions Leeds Rhinos on Friday, January 20 (8pm kick-off).

Tasty looking line up that.

Earlier this year when we played Dewsbury in a pre season game, Dewsbury fielded their entire reserves in the second half which still puzzles me.

Dewsbury were actually in front 12-6 at the interval.

Suffice to say the inevitable happened as Bradford woke up and ran out easy 46-12 winners before a gate of 2100.

Swinton Vs Widnes at LSV Jan 8th 2012.

Maybe a merger with Leigh and Swinton on the cards, and they will be called Swinton Centurions
Widnes - Super League's newest Club, and Cheshire's Original Glamour Club. Watch out Warrington, we're back !

I promise to pay £10 to the Charity of jannerboyuk's choice if the token Welsh Team ( whatever they are called this Month ) finish higher in Super League 2012 than the mighty Widnes.

If Castleford vs Bradford is called off I might be tempted.

Out of curiosity, why don't Bradford play any home friendlies?

With our new coach coming in it is difficult to determine what we will do.

I hope we will uphold our tradition of playing a lower league club because of our years spent in the 'wilderness'.

One thing is certain, however, there will be at least 1 ‘trial’ game.

It's primarily down to the huge financial cost of opening Odsal up when the projected crowd is going to be only around the Four thousand mark.

Incidentally we did play two home pre season fixtures this season - against Halifax and Wakefield.

Not the fact that it as close as you could get to recreating the arctic climate when you watch a game in january at odsal then??
