"I don't see what all the fuss is about. I mean, it's only fair after last year isn't it? Look Neil, just for you, I've put my best Rovers' tie on today in the hope it'll go some way to make up for it. Oh, by the way, Jon sends his regards."

It's going to physical tomorrow with all that forward front row power in both sides.
Let's hope that all 39 players escape unscathed, injuries with the season just a week away would be disastrous.

Cracking game at Barrow finished Barrow 28 - Workington Town 28
I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Keighley Cougars 24-12 Bradford Bulls here with twenty minutes left. I won't begrudge them the Keighley supporters like Guess Who the victory.
Keighley were not very good at all. To many dropped balls and no real intensity.
I would say the young Bulls team played very, very well.

As is the case in a friendly, the stretcher is on for a serious injury after only 3 mins. Not sure which Bulls player it is. Game has been held up for 6 or 7 mins

This was the final score, with an attendance of 781. Neither is bad at all for a team in its second match of existence, especially after all the traumas that the club has gone through to date! I really hope they kick on and become competitive in Championship 1.Currently Crusaders 50 Rochdale 22
