If anyone can't make the game myself, Nathan Graham and Johnny Orbell will be providing full match commentary from 12 noon ahead of the 13:00 kick-off.

Mixture of young and very young for WIres versus a myxomatosis of Widnes lads
My boy's can't wait to wear their tops and shout for Wires, they've never seen Widnes play

Earlier this year when we played Dewsbury in a pre season game, Dewsbury fielded their entire reserves in the second half which still puzzles me.
Dewsbury were actually in front 12-6 at the interval.
Suffice to say the inevitable happened as Bradford woke up and ran out easy 46-12 winners before a gate of 2100.
I remember that game - with no RL on, I was trawling the net for video footage and came across that match on the Dewsbury site. they were giving the Bulls a bit of a kicking in the first half, despite Bradford's players looking far bigger and stronger
than the part timers. It was at that point i started thinking that Bradford could be in trouble last season.

That may well be part of it. As one of the highest, and most exposed, grounds it is more at the mercy of the weather than most, and as you point out, the games are largely in January which is one of the worst months. Since (I'd guess) costs are shared, it makes sense to plan the games for a venue where it is most likely to go ahead. Not the fact that it as close as you could get to recreating the arctic climate when you watch a game in january at odsal then??

I await your analysis on the Bulls prospects for 2012 after you view the footage of Bradford's trip to Dewsbury that takes place on the 22nd January.

if Salfords game against Leigh, or St Helens v Widnes, which are test games for the new venues, are called off due to the weather will either ground still be awarded a safety certificate for the new season in time?

Likewise the new stands at Warrington.
Warrington have only one pre season game in the UK...... so there must be a way an ambitious club can get the safety certificate

Is ambitious the new glamorous?
No, ambitious is wanting to win things, glamorous is the manner you attract others....sponsors, fans and TV

I thought this thread was about us all being nice to each other before the 2012 campaign starts.
