Looked fairly solid and good in patches game breaker was at 20-10 to leeds with 7 minutes to go a pass inside from Walshaw would have put Wakey right back in it with plenty of time left however Leeds put a further score on from Hardaker. Overall it was a good game with Leeds blooding a few fringe players and youngsters and Wakefield trying out basically a new team over 9k there so a good effort all round

Bradford need to work on their discipline then

Cas win 28-18 new singings looked great along with Daz Clark who just goes form strength to strength
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

Warrington leading 16-12 against the Noxious Neighbours with HT approaching.

Scott Moore in the bin for scrapping.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:

Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.

It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.

Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

The Josh and Josh partnership for Castleford today looked extremely dangerous at times, causing the Bulls no end of trouble out on the right hand fringes.

Josh Griffin's first try for Castleford was a real humdinger as he sold Ben Jeffries the biggest Boxing Day gift and went through the gap he created from 25m out.

Castleford didn't touch the ball in the opening five minutes and once again Bradford's lack of focus was to be their undoing after a solid opening start, forcing the knock-on from the kick off and then via some good executed play - moving the ball from right to left to put Crookes over unopposed for the first try after just forty seconds on the clock.

The main worry for Bradford is that Manase Manuokafoa is looking at a spell of between six and eight weeks out on the sidelines through an ankle injury (the season hasn't even started yet).

Seemed to have a few players missing though they barely got the ball at all in the second half and even when they did they were coughing up possession early in the tackle count. Chances still needed finishing though, credit to 'Fax for that.

Went to the Wire game as well and bar a 10 minute spell in the second half when Widnes scored their two quick tries, they looked pretty poor, scoring only once in the last 20 minutes when Warrington had virtually an academy side out. Not usually one to judge from pre-season games (Leigh winning away to a strong Warrington side and then having a shocker of a season the other year is a particular favourite) but Betts has definitely got his work cut out (again).
