As I said to a mate o' mine last night, I wouldn't watch a SL magic weekend if I was picked up in a Limo, someone paid for my ticket, my ale and (all) my pies and arranged for a tumble with Nigella on the way home while Muddy Waters was playing in the background!

However, a championship weekend with The likes of some of the Batley lads, those reprobates from Leigh, the lads n lasses from Barrow et al, at a ground like Post Office Road, Lawkholme lane, even the Shay etc in my opinion would be an absolute blast!

I'd have it at Leeds and Bradford Airport.

There's a constant whiningcomes from there in any case.

I wasn't referring to you personally cock.

I'd have it somewhere with more fleshpots, pubs and restaurants myself, somewhere a bit different so that it's a trip away.

Championship weekend...........

A big YES from me, not only from a rugby point of view, but as a social event.

The venue would have to be chosen carefully and its a chance for supporters from each club to mix and be merry. I, like a lot of others have many friends from other championship clubs and would be good to get them all together to talk all things rugby.

(And FrankB buying the beer of course  )

im all for a championship weekend. next thing to do is get back in the championship

absolutely: we all enjoy our sport in our own way.

just as a matter of interest, what would be your feeling about a Championship Magic Weekend?

So long as we did not have to go to Wales/France or Scotland to watch Fev play Halifax then I would make one in..

you wouldn't have to mate, it would be up to you.

I'd go for Carcassone or Toulouse.
Robin's idea of Melrose is interesting, but I'm not suere about hotels and stuff.

As Newcastle is famous for a good night out, I thought that Gateshead Stadium would be ideal, especially as the RFL want to expand the game. But then I remembered it was Hull's twin town and we'd already been down that road.......Sorry, I was merging on the ridiculous for a moment!
