According to local the Oldham Chronical Higginshaw have already reverted back to winter although nothing has been confirmed by the NWML as yet

All a bit odd. They only joined summer last minute anyway

But they were only getting a side at the end of winter because they were using St Annes players so I guess by playing winter they can strengthen that way although its only a short term fix.

But is it not the RLC in reversal?

No because the RLC only had a short season. If enough clubs wanted a short winter season there's no reason there couldn't be one IMO.

So the first few months and the last few months of the winter season will be OK and inbetween they could use dual registration players.

If they have too many dual registered players the first and last few months won't be okay as they won't have any players. Think Bramley first game of the season.

No it didn't. Clubs regularly pulled out early and called off opening weeks

Clearly the ones in the lower divisions with mutually exclusive seasons didn't have a problem

50 teams seems down from 68 that started in the main divisions (I assume it excludes entrance teams) but not sure how many of the teams are merely undecided, how many plan to join the NCL and how many are committed to returning to winter. Still seems a decent size league though

Propaganda all the way, will the clubs who are showing an increase in union players have them from March 2013  I was at a game today and I was talking to the secretary of the home club who painted a picture of doom and gloom, he also pointed out how the standard of the refereee's has seemed to drop this season and he pointed out that it could be because referee's also have holidays, family commitments and the fact that a super league game has up 8 officials in attendance on a match day.
