Who would your money be on and why? Have any of the lads been playing for both clubs in the summer/winter?

Its was never really an option as we don't meet criteria, it was offered to us by the RFL as a possibilty with them accepting teams with reduced criteria but we didn't pursue, longer term goal would be tier 3 but a bit of work needed first.

I'm sure someone mentioned that you had new facilities or were getting new facilities or am I thinking of someone else?

There is an option of using new facilities at Orford Park but the pitch will only be available from September next year so it will be 2013 before this is an option, there are also plans to develop our current site, but some things arwe short term some long term at Dallam

From what I hear Blackbrook Royals, Pilkington Recs, Ashton Bears and Clock Face Miners are going summer and that is just from the Premier, assume some other sides will be going summer from lower down (Rylands were very keen but backed out last minute from the interim season for example). I wouldn't be surprised if more clubs switch as these sides do.

I have heard the same four teams are moving across also as many as 15 teams below the prem have spoke about moving to summer from next season, with regard to Rylands they didn't think the administration structure was good enough in the interim season but in all fairness it was administered well unlike the NWC this season, and they ended up with three trips to Cumbria

I expect they'll reconsider with it becoming the major league. Would leave the NWCL with just 3 divisions and summer with probably 5 plus merit if all those teams switch though may trigger a chain reaction and see winter as a Yorkshire thing.

Anyone know any of the other teams switching from lower down?

Also I notice winter division 4 is down to 6 teams.

OR

They may move to the Pennine league (not to be ruled out I believe  )

The Pennine League's going to be pretty huge soon with the Yorkshire League teams maybe going to join.

To be honest as long as they regionalised the lower divisions it could work having the Pennine League effectively take over the winter game. The main problem would be Barrow clubs.

Missed this question, Bank Quay would beat wizards without a doubt all round to powerful and skillfull at the moment, I am bit biased though I will admit!! we have had lads play for wizards but most don't last as they just say it is ###### down there

Actually would that be all remaining winter sides or just the top ones? Assume Barrow sides couldn't though

Heard the numbers dwindled due to a number of things. They did win the competition in 2010 though.

by officially switch do you mean the club has made an internal decision or that they've submitted an application?

am i right to think that any club wanting to enter has to apply by January 15th and that the deadline does not apply to just the interim clubs?

Thats the way I understand it after speaking with the RFL.
Im surprised at some of the clubs not mentioned on here who have expressed an interest in switching.

Apparently anyone applying after that has to play in the merit league. Whether that actually happens is another question though for example if all the Barrow clubs voted to switch en masse from 2013 I doubt they'd ruin the merit league or risk losing them from summer to enforce the rules.
