With no promotion or relegation for Superleague and Championship clubs in 2012, should Championship clubs target the
Challenge Cup this season?

A couple of giant killings would be a much needed reinvigouration of the competition wich could raise the games profile on TV and in the papers and would give clubs the lure of a Big Team visit to bring in the crowds and increased revenue.

This would also be the ideal opoprtunity for Daryl Powell, Mark Aston and others to show Super League teams that not all the best coaches are Australian, Featherstone have carried the great cup home in triumph before and we all know what John Kear can do with an unfancied team in this competition.

Just looking back over old posts and came across this one. Well Tim I have to say you weren't far off with your prediction regarding the Challenge Cup and in particular Featherstone - well done! What other bits of the future can you tell us? Dewsbury to go unbeaten for rest of season????
