The RFL have set up Cumbria as a region which makes me wonder if they have plans to eventually put the Barrow clubs in a Cumbrian League?
Though would all depend on what the clubs want I guess.

I think you are correct bowes, that is what the RFL want. I cannot see many Barrow clubs entering a Cumbrian league,it's far easier to venture down the motorway!Dalton would probably get very few home games in the winter and have no winter league for reserves.

I think I heard BARLA tried the same thing when they first started, though a bit before my time, and it didn't last more than a year or twoI think you are correct bowes, that is what the RFL want. I cannot see many Barrow clubs entering a Cumbrian league,it's far easier to venture down the motorway!

I think its becoming untenable for dalton to stay winter and I wouldn't be surprised if they have second thoughtsIf Walney switch and Dalton don't then Dalton will be the only one of the current top 17 teams to stay winter and remember that's after Bank Quay and 5 teams from the old division 1 already switched.
