Anybody is welcome to come and try their hand at Rugby League. I don't think CFL players are being targeted specifically. There's definitely potential there if they could pick up the basic skills. Football players have very specific roles whereas in RL you have to be able to make/take a pass, carry the ball and defend. If you know anyone that's interested, they can get in touch with any of the CRL teams via canadarugbyleague.com.

Does anyone have a link to a site for the Canadian domestic competition please?
I've set myself a task of comprising the biggest list of RL-related links on the www but finding much about Canada outside of Canadarugbyleague.com is proving troublesome.
If not, I'd appreciate it if someone would provide me with a list of teams that compete.
Many thanks.

Right now canadarugbyleague.com is the site for all things RL related in Canada. I expect more content to be included re the domestic teams/comp in the coming months. The CRL guys have been working their backsides off since their International season ended and they are currently in the UK. They are pretty much responsible for all of the content on the website along with making the hour long Rugby league Show for Canadian TV and that's on top of organising the domestic comp and the many international fixtures. Honestly, I don't know how they do it all!
The four teams confirmed for the domestic comp in 2012 are Toronto City Saints, Toronto Centurians, Niagara Bobcats, York Region Reds. The plan is to play the league comp in May and June. It will be a proper league comp this year. Last year it was a round robin competition.
