Not sure whether you're taking the mick or not, but he looked a real prospect at Hudds. I hope the lad grabs his second chance with both hands.

Pottsy he was outstanding today, never took a backwards step and made good meters forward. His line break for the Ainscough try with three Dewsbury players clinging to him shows just how much upper body strength he possesses.

It was a good physical game today with Phil & Tom running the show.

I LOL'd when I read the thread title Mick Posted Image

But yes, from what I have seen of the guy he will definitely be pushing hard for a 1st team spot this year and I hope he gates it. He's not a big bloke though and my only worry would be that against the big Super League props he wouldnt be as effective. Im hoping he gets a shot against Hull at the KC next week though so he can show what he can do against a full Super League team. You certainly can't fault his effort and workrate though Posted Image

Not a 'big bloke'? He's always been pretty bloody big when I've seen him play?! Might not be 6'4 but he's built like a tank! Good luck to him, nice to see a player who was discarded at an early age get another SL opportunity.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

Was sorry to see him leave Swinton, but I hope he's a massive success in Super League, his work rate alone deserves that.

Great post mate.

As I wrote on my team sheet "always gives nothing less than 110%"

Id love to be able to say that i would love to see him back at swinton for our first season in the top flight of real rugby league, but he is such a genuine guy that gives 110%week in week out i really want to see him do well with u guys and smash sl to bits.

might show a few ppl that u dont have to be from down under to make the grade later in life. good luck phil.

You know what I meant haha. Most SL props these days are built like tanks but are 6'2. It was the only negative I could raise about him from what I have seen. I hope he gets a good run at the Bulls

He played well. I guess he's got to first base, as in earned himself a contract. We'll see about the rest further down the track......

I hope he's in the 19 man squad for the trip to the KC Stadium on Sunday.

Most Bradford supporters I've spoken to make reference to him being our Sixth prop but on yesterday's showing I'd ONLY put him behind Tom Burgess & Craig Kopzcak in the Odsal prop hierarchy.

Well there have been good raps about Phil Joseph and he is certainly has been working hard to get a contract, though it's not nailed on yet I hope it does happen as he will bring some added steel to the front row, but M o S???, Ithink Micks local Hospital should be doing a drugs audit!

It's ward Twenty again leaving the drugs trolley open for me to indulge.

On a side note Dennis I'll have the recording of the Dewsbury vs Bradford game for you by the weekend.
