With the Magic Weekend being played in Manchester over the 26th and 27th May, we are scheduled to play one of our more attractive home fixtures against Halifax on the Sunday in direct competition with the event, held locally with live TV coverage. Surely we should switch to a Friday night.

I disagree with that Lionhearted,I think any Halifax fans will come to watch their own team before any Superleague fixtures and certainly i'd like to think Lions fans will do likewise. In which case we are talking about any floating fans who will have decided what they want to do in anycase. With the Magic Weekend being played in Manchester over the 26th and 27th May, we are scheduled to play one of our more attractive home fixtures against Halifax on the Sunday in direct competition with the event, held locally with live TV coverage. I know I should check whether the West Stand have any TV's on the concourse, but we had a home game during last year's Magic Weekend and the Sky coverage was on shown on the TV's in the North Stand concourse, and presumably the Legends Bar as well. I think any self-respecting supporter of their clubs will attend their game anyway, especially as it's hardly the greatest line up of games that day.
I'll be going to the Saturday at the Etihad but will be at Dewsbury vs Leigh on the Sunday.
