You seem to be overlooking the standard at Dewsbury Moor, in the division you had them in they would have been putting between 30 and 50 points past most.Having Fryston and North Yorkshire Stallions in one division as one example is presumably why the change. Realistically they don't have enough summer clubs for an easy format. The original proposal was premier then 3 regionals with divisions below them but not enough interest.
Hopefully that will gradually change as more teams switch. I thought it was going to be impossible to switch in future but they're keeping the Wars of the Roses which will make it easier to switch to summer (winter leagues would have to accept clubs that have missed 2-3 months of fixtures so less practical).

They're basically entering their reserve team. Their firsts would easily slot into premier. You seem to be overlooking the standard at Dewsbury Moor, in the division you had them in they would have been putting between 30 and 50 points past most.

Your far to nice a chap! Don't take the word from anyone in the heartlands for gospel when it comes to them saying we are only playing him or her. (We played a second team friendly the other week and an ex GB prop played)They're basically entering their reserve team. Their firsts would easily slot into premier.

My educated guess would be (and I'll be interested to see how close I am)
Premier:
Fryston
Cutsyke
West Hull
Skirlaugh
Siddal
Hunslet Warriors
York Acorn
Stanningley
Division 1:
Holderness
East Hull
Hull Dockers
East Leeds
Milford
Ovenden
Oulton
Bradford Dudley Hill
Division 2:
Featherstone Lions
Elland
Shaw Cross
Heworth
North Yorkshire Stallions
York Lokomotive
Dewsbury Moor (just a development team)
West Bradford (though who knows?)
Wouldn't be surprised if they end up putting Dewsbury Moor in premier by mistake thinking it's their first team.
Bowes, your crown is slipping. If they're moving to divisional rather than regionalised then the leagues will have to be bigger than eight teams as there'll be no scope for cross conference fixtures to make up the desired 18 fixtures.
My guess, assuming no more teams are likely to be added, is that they'll go for divisions of 12, with not everyone playing home and away.

Sounds like some of the teams who've played in the merit league.

They could play extra derbies but 12 and 11 would be a better split than 8s with West Bradford dropping down.Bowes, your crown is slipping. They'll have serious problems playing 2 games on the same day for a few months then.Your far to nice a chap! Why carn't they play 22 games in a season?Bowes, your crown is slipping. If they're moving to divisional rather than regionalised then the leagues will have to be bigger than eight teams as there'll be no scope for cross conference fixtures to make up the desired 18 fixtures.

In the top flight because of playoff dates plus cup games and the Wars of the Roses. In the lower division they probably could manage it.Why carn't they play 22 games in a season?

I was hoping they wouldn't go down the cup game road (will have weeks when players are stood about) just yet, from my experience players want to be playing every week and the best way to do that is giving them more league games. In the top flight because of playoff dates plus cup games and the Wars of the Roses. In the lower division they probably could manage it.

BARLA are going to have a odd numder of teams in there division so teams can come back at any time.I think they're keeping Wars of the Roses so clubs can switch to summer in future otherwise no club ever could again. The Community Shield sounds good though.

A lot of district leagues had continuation cups for the teams that got knocked out of the main competition early.I think they're keeping Wars of the Roses so clubs can switch to summer in future otherwise no club ever could again. The Community Shield sounds good though.

every division so BARLA can cater for the difference in standards.I assume teams will have to play out the season with friendlies against teams on bye weeks in that scenario? Though does that mean every division would have to be odd?

NWCL, Yorkshire and Hull will be hard to do much with as they'll only have 1 division in NWCL's case; 0, 1 or 2 small ones in Yorkshire League's case and 2 small ones or one big one in Hull's case. Pennine could work with 11 teams though. Depends how many clubs switch back as if few ever make the switch clubs will want even numbers again. The fact that the summer leagues are full of reserve teams suggests many switches to winter is unlikelyevery division so BARLA can cater for the difference in standards.

Acorns `A` team where at a good standard in 2010/11 and Loko's did carry a lot of acorn players at one time, I'll be keeping an eye on the trinity of Kippax, Fryston and Cutsyke and probably be taking a few of their games in.Proposed divisions.
