NWCL, Yorkshire and Hull will be hard to do much with as they'll only have 1 division in NWCL's case; 0, 1 or 2 small ones in Yorkshire League's case and 2 small ones or one big one in Hull's case. Pennine could work with 11 teams though. Depends how many clubs switch back as if few ever make the switch clubs will want even numbers again. The fact that the summer leagues are full of reserve teams suggests many switches to winter is unlikely

I think you will find that the Yorkshire teams will come under the Pennine and Yorkshire will run a sunday league again on the lines of the merit league (lets not forget sunday football was once a big success and with players having to work saturdays it could bloom again).
Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.<div align='center'></div>

Could be a good way of getting players back same as how the summer has a merit league (think Lancashire winter RL will die off west of Oldham and Rochdale but Yorkshire will thrive for the foreseeable future though I expect the remaining A teams plus sides with NCL ambition to gradually switch. Long run if juniors go summer then so will adults).

Would you run your reserves in the Sunday League?

It will depend on how the juniors are integrated into the open age system, the easiest way would be to alter the start date of the oldest lads slightly.

When you say Yorkshire teams do you mean Yorkshire League or the whole county? Assume the former but just checking.

Looks a good lineup. Surprised at HWD stepping up from merit.

Is there the 3 YML divisions plus development plus merit as the pyramid or am I missing anything?

My understanding is 3 + 1 emerging division. How the latter is to be run has yet to be determined. Don't think there is a merit league as well?

Ah fair enough wondered where teams would come from. Surprised that Dewsbury Celtic aren't running an A team.

Yes, i believe this is the thinking.
Rockware , Leeds Akkies and Scarborough are way above the others in the emerging division and may be encouraged to move into the the mainstream.

Dewsbury Celtic , Normanton , Cas Lock Lane , Cas Panthers and Eastmoor aren't running summer A teams despite arm twisting from the NCL. Posted Image

Leeds Akkies aren't. They used to be good but are a low playing standard these days. Agree about the other 2 and apparently Walton are much stronger this year.

And Myton though guess that's more understandable with travelling.

Are Dewsbury Celtic planning on running winter A team? Otherwise surely they fail criteria? Personally I'd ban winter 2nd teams as they're not actually fulfilling the function of reserve team (if you want a winter 3rd team that's your choice).

Shaw Cross reserve team is playing Dewsbury Celtic's reserve team in a friendly on Saturday. I hadn't realised they weren't running a team. Maybe they are seeing what the numbers are like, I know that some of their players are at other clubs for the winter.

Which players are at other clubs for the winter? None of last seasons summer squad are apart from the odd fringe player thats moved on due to lack of game time.

Dom Byrne and Will Brooke. Not sure if there are any more. I just guessing at why there was no A team registered.

What is the reason behind not running a summer reserve team?

Application deadline moved to 2nd March as there's a few late expressions of interest.
