Could I add that when LAtics were moving to Failsworth, in Feb 2010 it was looked into the feasibility of having a designated tram stop.
GMPTE quoted £1/2million and gave ones of the reasons for not agreeting as 2 extra mins

Given the  lateness of the planning and buildin igt would be far north of that figure now for a tramstop.
A non starter.

Oldham council have spent more on plans, Architects fees etc on schemes that never went to planning stage than I can care to imagine. It seems our neighbours have finally caught up in the whole charade of "We could do this, but we haven't the inclination or money do deliver it!"
