I am sorry but i am watching this in a bar in Andorra  THIS IS TERRIBLE in all my years i have never seen such a FLAT start to the SL season apart from the fact that the game (First half hopefully it will improve) was awful i will add the following.

Hardly any sponsors

No pitch branding

Empty seats

Zero atmosphere

To put it mildly its flat as a pancake what a joke for the start of the season.

They should have shown Wire v Hull at the KFC. It is not often I see poor rugby league but so far its been dire, maybe its the I pitch?

The lack of pitch branding has ruined it for me. In fact, its ruined it so much that I may never watch a game of rl ever again. badminton will now be my sport of choice, see you all over on totalbadminton.com

I think he was talking about lack of advert to tell people that the season started tonight. Other than a few short advent on sky it could easily have been overlooked. Needs a champions challenge cup winners game to start. What sort of media outlet cares about widnes v wakey?

I thought it was a good game, well presented
apart from the Engage post guards
there are those among us
who think that life is but a joke

I enjoyed it too. Maybe Engage are sponsoring the post guards?

Well I quite enjoyed and it's very encouraging that Widnes started the season in much the same way that they finished the last one

Badminton! What about squash?! Squash is the super league to badminton's six nations!

Amor's a terrific prop. If he maintains the sort of form he showed last season and tonight, he'll be knocking on the England door. No idea why Leeds signed Moore and let Amor go (even if they've got a 'buy back' clause). Not saying Moore is a terrible player - he'll do a job for the Rhinos, but Amor is obviously a class player in the making.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

I thought it was a great game and a great start to the season!  I could pick fault at a few of the organisational bits but the match is the main advert for our game and it was a good one!

You'll make yourself unpopular....

It was fast and furious and kept me entertained. Not sure what people expected for the first game of the year played between the two most overhauled squads in the competition, neither side was ever going to that cohesive. Factor in temperatures below freezing and a plastic pitch, I wasn't expecting something approaching state of origin! One question, how have three SL clubs all thought signing Ben Cross was a good idea?
"surely they've got to try somthing different now, maybe the little chip over the top?2

I went to Leeds and we had a great night with HKR really threatening before Watkins scored a quick hat trick to seal the win before an excellent 15K crowd,

I rushed home for a few beers and the fascinating recording of a see saw match between the Vikings and Trinity. Plenty of passion, effort, skill, and crowd support for both clubs.

Really great night for me.

I respect your opinion but would suggest that you ask the barkeep to switch over for you.

TBH I do not know why Sky would pick four of the least skilled teams to televise rather than the more skilled and competitive match ups between Wigan and Huddersfield, and between Hull FC and Warrington.
