Fans have had their say on smh.com.au with 59 per cent of online readers voting in favour of rugby league gaining precedence over the cricket.

This is chnl9 speak for "the rest of the country will get cricket" & NO NRL coverage at all !keen to avoid moving one of the games to its secondary digital channel, GEM, for NSW and Queensland viewers.

Rugby League has beaten cricket to the live spot on Channel Nine's schedule next Friday night.
The first-round NRL game between Parramatta and Brisbane will go live into all markets, while viewers who want to keep watching the one-day international between Australia and Sri Lanka live will have to switch to Nine's secondary channel, GEM.

Don't forget of you subscribe on an annual basis British viewers you get 12 months for the price of 10./ £10 of your annual subscription goes to a Championship club you nominate during the sign up process.
