Channel Nine is considering showing a delayed telecast of the one-day international between Australia and Sri Lanka on March 2 due to the scheduling clash with round one of the NRL.

Fans have had their say on smh.com.au with 59 per cent of online readers voting in favour of rugby league gaining precedence over the cricket.

"A little bit of excitement" for the new season. So that's how to sell the game?

Rugby League outscores Cricket on TV viewing numbers, Playing numbers and excitment etc. It should take precedent over cricket all the time.

Channel Nine is a joke and has been that way since Kerry Packer died. I really hope they don't get the NRL rights when the new TV deal goes down.

And... IT'S A WIN!

Rugby League has beaten cricket to the live spot on Channel Nine's schedule next Friday night.

The first-round NRL game between Parramatta and Brisbane will go live into all markets, while viewers who want to keep watching the one-day international between Australia and Sri Lanka live will have to switch to Nine's secondary channel, GEM.

Reminds me , I must reinstate my subscription to Premier Sports TV in time for Round 1 in under a fortnights time.
Don't forget of you subscribe on an annual basis British viewers you get 12 months for the price of 10./ £10 of your annual subscription goes to a Championship club you nominate during the sign up process.
So give your club £10 by this method. If you don't have a championship club you support, you are welcome to choose one. I hope you'll go for Featherstone Rovers if you have no allegiance. Thanks in advance!
