with all teams but dalton now committed to summer rugby is it not time that the barrow and district follow suit and get things in place for all the A teams to commence summer rugby for the 2013 season. From what i can gather as long as the majority of the b&d sides vote for it they have to swap to summer surly all teams will be voting for this now that all kids rugby and open age rugby has switched i know we at millom will be voting for it !!!
Needs sorting quick mate, but totally agree we could even go this summer we could start in middle May and be done for September and even play mid week, Friday night or Saturday it would be easy to sort.

I agree that the B&D league needs to switch to summer, although from a personnel perspective i dont want it to switch to summer it has got to switch for the good of the local clubs and game in general.

i cant see any other way than everyone going summer have any other clubs asked there players what they want !! dalton apperently said if b&d go summer then there a team will look at joining the pennine league !! ha ha that wont happen they need the b&d for the money it can give out... i really dont see why it all just goes to summer what is the big thing that people seem to be afraid of other than hard ground and people going on holidays that happens now in winter rugby more games being called off than ever due to the weather in my 30 odd years on the planet i have yet to see the ground baked that hard either its called the lake district for a reason it never stops pi**ing down !!! i still say its inevitable that we will all end up in summer rugby and those that are clinging to the hope of winter need to get a grip and stop fannying about and get it sorted !!
