Would be a good idea to have some car stickers or posters made up by the club, this would promote the development proposal.Could be given away at the Rochdae game. One way of getting more people to sign the petition would be to walk around the ground on matchdays or have copies made up so people can sign it as they walk in at the turnstiles.Would get some away supporters to sign it as well.I signed one at Salford a few years back when we played them in the cup,and they got a new ground in the end.

That’s could be a good thing I will raise the idea with the powers that be today and see what can be storted.

I heard that kirklees had postponed any decision on the proposal until some time in September. Other than that I have no further news.

if the whole shebang falls through I have a plan. As we don't seem to be able to keep the scrap metal and garden ornament recyclers off of crown flatt, why dont we turn that large piece of land overlooking councilor kains back yard into a trailer park ? Charge em a tenner a week, with a clause that they dont ###### on their own doorstep - 100 caravans, thats 50k a year - and the cheeky chappies like a drink, keep the bar open and thats another earner. Who knows, kirklees might suddenly discover the urgent need for a housing development down owl lane. How do we collect the rent ? easy, send the team round to collect it before training. ;)

One thing about Kirklees, never in a rush and always taking too much time on decisions, thanks Roger.

Crown Flatt!!!!

I hope this was just a senior moment GOR and not something more permanent.

It quite possibly could be old age - I still haven't come to terms with decimalisation, I did think though, it had been referred to as new crown flatt somewhere. Course that could be the tablets - they make me halucinate sometimes.

Crown Flatt !!!

I don't have a problem with the name. When we moved to the current ground, we, as members, gave it the same name as our old one. We threw out any idea of calling it New Crown Flatt and it only lost the title when the club became a limited company.

Crown Flatt is quite distinct geographically. It's a bit like you moving to Heckmondwike and deciding to rename it Thornhill. Or Huddersfield fans insisting they still play at Fartown..............oh!
