Well, for me it was a case of wasted opportunities. We had a spell of 15-20 minutes in the first half in their 22, which we should have made more from. There are some positives to take from the game undoubtedly, Darren Hawkyard was immense and I thought Higson and Mort were decent also. At the risk of sounding negative, is this squad better than last years? Dodd, although scoring one try looked completely out of his depth and his defence was shocking, Kevin Penny looks menacing going forward, but his jumping for high balls was way off the mark. I think with a bit more effort from some of the forwards ( Mills especially ) and some general tweaking at 13 we will do fairly well, but Steve Mac is spot on when he says we need 3 new faces. Personally I would like to a couple of forwards and some cover at 7.
A good effort today and lots of passion and commitment on show, but we seem to lack a bit of class and finesse at vital times.
Thoughts?

Just posted a topic with almost identical comments to yourself. However I think your being a bit kind saying penny looks menacing. I think last year we would have battered them lot. And as iv been saying for the last few weeks we are BADLY missing a proper number 13.
Im only smiling because `no-one`'s found the bodies yet.
