Overall I thought a good first proper run out for the lads today, the second half was definately better than the first, I think McDermott gave us a real boost after HT and IMO we look far better with English at Full Back

No doubt Fax can play better than that but I think we can too

Good news was that it looks like Middlehurst is more than capable of filling Ashalls boots he was our MOTM I thought

Signs look good for the season ahead and Pooing Dog it wasn't a 68 point defeat :)

It wasn't a 68 point defeat :))

We defiantly played better 2nd half, I suspect Stanky gave 'em a talking to at half time.

English looks out of place in anything other than full back, but that's what these games are all about.

I didn't realise Ashall had gone to fax, I thought I was hearing things when the teams were announced.

Aside from the score, not a bad performance.

To be fair Ashall played really well but based on his performances for us last year I wouldn't have expected anything else

Ashall has made a good start for Fax and has probably made the most of our injury crises as Aizue, Barlow, Divorty, Casey in the forwards are all out long term and others have carried small knocks. Always gives 100%. I didnt see the game as live outside the UK, but Rochdale have come away with alot of respect and the fans should be proud of the players according to my friends. You have a very good coach and wish you all the best for the season.

Dean Gorton was No2, but almost the last tackle of the game he dislocated that troublesome left shoulder again that he did at Keighley last year. It was again a backward dislocation that the doctor couldn't put back in so Dean had to go to hospital to have it put back in. I think that's the fourth time now that this shoulder has popped out? Let's hope he has a rapid recoverery?
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of......
