I expect Hull to win this. I liked the look of Brett Seymour the other night, he looks to provide what we've missed for some years now, a guiding hand around the park. We'll miss Westerman but I hope Moa's available, should be strong enough to get the two points with a bit of luck.
Salford 14 Hull 26.

On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....
"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

Dear OF,
At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, if your forwards take control, you'll win; if our forwards can take the wind out of your forwards' sails, we'll win. Simple, see.
Hull will probably win by 10 to 20 points, but I'm going to pick Salford in the poll. I think we can do you by about the same.
Yours faithfully,
Confused of Crete.

Beware the Manu! He looks on fire and will be a handful for your right side defence ( more than normal ) ;-)

Hull FC, but making it more difficult than it needs to be for a second week running.

If Salford can manage to put it a decent performance in the second half, instead of just the first 40, they might be in with a chance.

We now have only two available props with Moa banned and O'Carroll injured.

That sounds about right.

Wouldnt be surprised to see Chris Green make his Super League debut for Hull FC in this one over Mike Burnett who needs a game or two under his belt before being comsidered for selection otherwise this may have been his chance to stake a claim for a first team jersey.

Hull FC for me, no Moa is a bonus, now if something could just prevent Manu playing we may stand a chance.

I think Burnett has gone to Doncaster on dual reg.Wouldnt be surprised to see Chris Green make his Super League debut for Hull FC in this one over Mike Burnett who needs a game or two under his belt before being comsidered for selection otherwise this may have been his chance to stake a claim for a first team jersey.
I can only see a first home victory for Salford on this game.Hull have not played with the same half-back pairing and they now lose through injury their loose forward,Westerman.
Salford have grown in confidence as a team,game-on-game,and if the home support can emulate those who travel away and keep backing the players for the full 80 minutes the 2 points go to Salford.

I don't know whether Salford have lost anymore players to injury since they visited us at Langtree Park but assuming they haven't then there is no reason why they shouldn't beat Hull FC - except attitude. They play well for 40 minutes then for whatever reason drift away from what they do well. That smacks of a problem with attitude, either in individuals or as a team. If they can bring the right attitude this weekend then they are certainly capable of winning. They are promising to be a very attractive team to watch in attack. But their weakness is defence, where the hard work (and attitude) is really needed IMO.

It might just be stamina. Our pack is a bit light and perhaps gives its all, punching above its weight in the first half, then simply runs out of steam in the second. Just a thought.

True but those two are O'Meley and Lynch. We now have only two available props with Moa banned and O'Carroll injured.
Could be worse.

I don't think I've ever seen Josh Bowden play but Chris Green looks the part to me.Yes and opens the door for two young forwards in Green and Bowden.

Hull to win by a couple of scores in a snoozefest.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

A friend of mine played against Bowden last year and has a lot of good things to say about him. Looking forward to seeing him in action at some point this season, if not tonight.
