WELCOMEto NRL 2012 and our first tipping competition the new season. Hope you had an enjoyable few weeks rest!
Everyone reading this is welcome to enter.
Here's to our success this week and during the weeks ahead.
Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round

NB This week's first game is on THURSDAY!!!

ROUND 1 QUESTIONS:

*Poll Competition:
Which Round 1 game will produce the biggest margin of victory?
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.

The poll is anonymous so we can't give you credit unless it is in your predictions post.

Now the main event of the week:

*Match Tipping Competition:
Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 1 2012

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R1?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*HOME Win Competition:

How many HOME wins will there be in NRL R1 2012?
In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores will be added together as the season progresses to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which will be pinned to the top of the forum topic list page
The best of luck to everyone.
Enjoy your Rugby League!

I hope the sleeping giants of last season's comp wake up in time to join in this season!
Maybe if we keep quiet though we'll get jump start on them!

Hello again Storm 2007.
Good luck this season, great to have you back.
Barney is in the viscinity probably hiding behind Harry Potter's cloak of invisibility either that or a mop and bucket.
I wonder if Rugby Female is anywhere near?

The site I used to store images just disappeared at the end of last season. I've tried one or two others. I'm currently on a different one.
You can save your avatar straight to the forum so as long as the forum exists it will be there for you whatever happens to my image saving sites.

Anyway here is your image address as I've got it stored now: You can store it as you did previously by just linking to it.
Maybe you could copy the animation to your hard drive from the screen - right click ...save image as .... put it where on your desktop temporarily and then load it to the forum from there.

Use:Upload a new image from your computer method rather than the direct link
That way you can enter the image
rather than our previous method which was
Enter a URL to an online avatar image

The direct link is this

http://i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n596/MrKipper6/Kiwityke1-1.gif

which is this:

As for the time it's right on my computer here.
I guess the time zone can be set from somewhere on the site - your profile or settings.
I'll check.

So NRL 2012 has kicked off.
One way or another the game between Newcastle and St George Illawarra made for good TV. There was a great grandstand finish to it in a packed ground with virtually 30,000 in it.
It's great to be back up and running.
