When is the penny going to drop with the deluded fans up the road that there team is not what they think it is. Top prediction for yesterdays game was Town 0 Haven 51. We took cheap shots all the game and the ref let us away with it. No prizes for guessing whos starting to go on about haven fans outnumbering town fans. Anything to try and rubbish town lol. I'm actually starting to feel sorry for them.

Thing is we will be playing teams like keighley next season, where as they will be playing the greats like Northampton and Hemel. Poor old choccy, talks the biggest pile of bull around.

We were one of the top clubs last season, but we fell off towards the end of last season when the business end of the competition came the play offs and we performed poorly.
Our BoD was faced with Seeds resignation, he only filled in for a season and this doesn't help when the club is faced with rebuilding the squad, with the exception of Benson, Spencer & Hill were halfway out the door, if it wasn't this season it would have been next, the Club needed to rebuild the squad.
Our BoD recruited from Lancs players that most fans thought were potentially good signings, unfortunately they are proving not all they seemed.
Haven R/L are aware of the problem and have secured 2 PNG players perhaps a 3rd if all goes well, so the club is trying to resolve its squad problems, though imo more needs to be done if we are serious about promotion.
A coach should have been appointed last season on the basis of being available for up to 2-3 seasons, Seeds tenure at the Club for one season left us with a problems, a lack of continuity at a time when the squad needed to be changed and refreshed, and also when a new Bod was being reformed with the influx of some inexperienced members.
It as not been a good start for our coach, not having experience in the British game and he was always going to need more time than a local coach to get up to speed, we owe Don more time before to prove himself before we start shouting for his head.

So they have finally started to realise those Lancs players were reserve graders for a reason....

It's funny watching threads on their forum about town and great posting on here and watching them bite on their own, most of them are decent lads with a few exceptions

PS most of them are realising that Harold Bishop would be more use than "the Don"

Watching them on sunday I think they aren't playing with any heart. Something does'nt seem right in their camp. I cant see them doing anything this season because of that. I certainly wont lose any sleep over that and think we have the best of the local talent now where they had it for a while. Anyone who backed them to win the league has thrown their money away.

And after yet another defeat looks like some are starting to see sense....

we have the biggest squad in the league and you would struggle to get a good 7s team out of it never mind a good 17. We are ###### and we would struggle to beat egremont or the brow.

And the deluded ones are still asking for more players to be signed!

How the hell do they think LancHaven can afford all these players? Their gates are falling and the wage bill is rising, especially after signing all those PNG "superstars" Those PNG players won't be on "pay as you play" and neither will the Lancs players.

We mustve taken over 200 to the Rec yesterday.

Whats being said over there about yesterdays game anyway as I cant get on there...suppose they are compaining about the ref high tackles etc?

To be fair to Haven they did improve 100% in the 2nd half but we played the worst 40 mins of the season so far so hopefully we have got that out of our system

If you include the Oldham friendly in the figures your average gate is about 650 over the three matches..... I haven't counted the Leeds reserve team match.

Towns average gate after 3 matches is about 850-900, but 2 of those matches were against Haven, so it is too early to tell yet what the Town average will be. But one thing that was noticeable at the Town v LancHaven NRC match is that there were substantially more Town fans there than Haven fans.
