Monaco-based millionaire Owen Glenn has bought a half share in the Warriors NRL team two days out from their first game of the 2012 season.

He and Warriors co-owner Eric Watson are entering into a joint venture to own 100 per cent of the Auckland-based club.

Under the partnership, the pair will not only own the Warriors, but also commit to invest a multi-million dollar sum in rugby league.

As long as he's a fit and proper person and has the interests of Warriors and their fans at heart that's great.
Looks a lot like he might be a good 'un - giving money to the University etc.

He's got past good form, according to the article, so I am fairly optimistic. It remains to be seen where these millions will go, but if it benefits Rugby League in NZ, from the Warriors downwards, this can only be good.
