Now that's what I call rain.
It started heavy and then built from there!
I've never seen Craig Bellamy quite so animated. He was even in the changing room afterwards joining in the team celebration song.
I thought Raiders put on a good show. In the end they made probably only as many mistakes as Storm but they proved to be more telling.
Billy was put on report but from my (purple tinted spectacle) point of view I don't think there was any malice intended and hopefully he won't cop any penalty.
The quality of the footy given the conditions was pretty good.
Cooper Cronk has certainly made it up the pecking order in the club to be quite clearly part of the golden spine. He's spoken of in equal terms to Billy and Cam.
I was pleased with the Storm forwards too. Raiders have a pretty big pack and Storm matched them well.
Poor old Brett Kimmorley got the job of post match player interviews on the park. Even under a big golf umbrella the damp got to his mike and rendered it next to useless.

Saw a bit of sports news this morning with Jason Taylor, who said he didn't think the Slater hit warranted anything more than the penalty.I'll wait until the Sydney rags have had their Monday morning witch hunt
So far it's been a good set of games this weekend. So ...............
Warriors - Tiggers - Bunnies to round it off ?
Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite

Very entertaining game which we were quite fortunate to win. We made a lot of errors but thankfully Cooper was fantastic and we just managed to sneak the win. Maurice Blair's try was my favourite, such an imaginative first kick from Cooper and then his cross field kick after that was brillant also. I love those sorts of tries where the halfback chips over the top.
I enjoyed seeing us chance our arm a bit more with the ball than we usually do although perhaps it wasn't smart what with the weather being so bad. We got the points though and hopefully we can improve against the Bunnies next week and get another win.

The 3 just work so well together. Its ok being great players but you need your key players to combine with others. I loved the first try as simple but so well executed at pace. Smith to Cronk back to smith who justlobs it back towards cronk with Billy taking the ball straight through the gsp as the defenders busy on cronk and smith. The 3 seem to know where the others are and dont need to look.
