some very close games now we are into the business end of the season and most 1st teams have packed in there leagues !!! shame they dont use the same teams all year round tho bit to much of a coincidence i would say !!

hope thats not sour grapes old millom town, neither Millom or Walney was packed with 1st teamers on friday, the only reason Millom lost was because they could not keep hold of the ball in the slippery conditions when it mattered.

Both Millom and Askam's A team's looked very different between the months of Nov and Feb. Askam failed to raise a team against us then put 50 points+ into a good Barrow Island 'A' team only a two after their first team stopped playing, you failed to get a side to travel to Ulverston early in the season when your first team were playing.

At some point during the season each and every club will use 'first team' players.

For your info Walney haven't dropped out of their league and we are going to finish the season and go straight into the summer.

we never failed to raise a side cents facts b4 you speak pal we had 13 players that day but 4 of them were 16 and terry bewely wouldn`t ref the game with them in the team so we had no choice but to call it off and you can ask ulverston on that becuse we phoned them and told them b4 hand , and speaking of different looking sides the 3 times we beat you this year was not the team you played last friday was it !!!

In the 4 games we have played against Millom this season
6 Players have played in all four games
4 players have played in 3 games
6 players have played in 2 games

Out of the side that played the other Friday, 4 lads have only recently started playing again, of which 3 are currently genuine 'A' players and the other has the potential to play first team but works away and on shifts, so he cannot fully commit.

I'd suggest that Millom A team have used more players playing against Walney this season than Walney have used against Millom.

we have used the same team all year pal we have a min of 25-35 players training every week depending on what shifts people are on so why would we put our 1st team players in ?? the team you played last friday had no 1st teamers in of any sort not even lads that are bench players for 1st team, but it did have 2 16 year olds, 2 17 year olds, 1 40 year old, and 1 44 year old !!! they have played in every game this season as have the rest of our team im not saying we have had the same 17 each week but the lads that have played all year have been the same bunch and played when available or when have not been injured !!

Anyway lets look forward to another good game on Saturday between the two best sides in the league this season, I've got 'Millom' flu so wont be there.
