Haven had a bad day at the office last week, but today's result will not have pleased Stanky, especially not securing the bonus point. Looks like a short but hard season ahead.

Pauul Crook injured, Steven Bannister injured, down to 12 men at the end. Haven were ordinary, and Hornets poor.Great day out for the coach party, but a match to forget as soon as possible.

With 10 minutes remaining we were only 8 points behind at 18-10 and hanging in there. The injury to Banister wrecked our shape, with Woody playing as a makeshift centre.
It was a scrappy, messy game and losing Crooky after only 15 minutes bu ggered-up our structure and most of our late-set plays.

Also, penalty count 13-6 in 'haven's favour didn't help.

A frustrating afternoon for sure.

Your ill discipline let you down. Quite shocked at one of your fans attitude when Danny Barkers was lifted over the horizontal and dumped his words were if your gona do it hurt the guy. So wrong

They made a game plan to get at Crooky which worked well for them when a late tackle took him out of the game with a shoulder injury could be out for a few games. After that our structure was gone.Having said that it was only when we were down to 12 men in the last 10 did they pull away. Not a good game lots of improvement from Hornets not so sure Haven will improve much more.
Success does not consists in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.

always like hornets and always have a good time down your place, but please some of the comments on here are laughable, haven were in control of the game for 70 of the 80 mins. You had a 10 min spell in the 2nd half where you looked to be getting hold of the game but then more mistakes stopped that, you fail to mention we were down to 12 for 10 mins in the second half when baeur was sin binned for dissent yet later own your own player did the same and all we got was the penalty no sin binning during and during this time you failed to score,as for us improving plenty of improvement to come from us plus 2 x PNG internationals to arrive soon

A game of poor disclpline and poor ball handling skills. Haven deserved to win this un and that must be the poorest refereeing display I think Ive ever seen. Please though next time you guys come to Haven and you guys are always welcome plaese leave lasso wid the huge gob at home.

We were bad yesterday with bad handling and ill discipline, the 10 mins you were down to 12 you had the ball for about 8 of those mins so we could not do much about it.The ref was poor and made mistakes for both sides.
Your own coach said that that's was your strongest side yesterday yet you still only ran away with it in the last 10 when we were down to 12 and with other players out there who should not have been out on the field as they were carrying injuries.

If the lass you refer to is who I think it is then you've picked one of Hornets' most valuable fans.

I hope she won't mind me telling you that she and her kin spend much of their time devoted to raising funds to ensure our club will not only endure but thrive!

She organises and runs the coaches to away games, she organises and runs the Quiz Nights which make money for the club and she provides a FREE Christmas party every year for EVERYBODY! Yes mate, you don't even have to like Hornets, just turn up with your kids and they get in FREE, get a FREE buffet, see Father Christmas and get a FREE pressie. If you know of another club that does all that then let me know eh???

So you leave our 'Gobbie Lass' alone she does no harm in her support for Rochdale Hornets.

I fully endorse that statement Puggy, Hornets would be in very poor health without her, her contributions are priceless.

Guilty
and Thanks Puggy,Ornit4ever and PooingDog
Not all thought that of me as one of their fans came over at half time and
said '' can you come every week lassy as this lot haven't made that much noise in
a long while ''
And as Mick has said everyone on the coach had a great day out even though the score
didn't warrant a celebration
