Workington Town 16-25 Batley

Hope to see you travel in numbers. Should be a tough game for both sides.

Im just hoping for a win and a much improved performance after sunday - really couldnt care if we win by 1 or 50 as long as we win and look something like our form prior to Sunday.

Have a feeling Workington will give us a real battle though.

Tight one I think against a pumped up Cumbrian side at home. Any win will do, and after some hard words from JK I think we'll be even more pumped up than normal.

Workington 12 Batley 28.

Just got to decide whether to make the long trip up north now!

We should win this one, so I will say 28 - 10 to the Dogs.

Heart says Town by 12, head says Batley by 20. I was hoping it would rain all week, make it a nice boggy pitch as our pack is a big one and would hold there own. But wouldnt you know it, we actually have sun up here this week. Well I think its the sun, we dont see it often enough to be 100% certain thats what it is.

Depends what mentality the dogs have. I agree with BTJ. Just want a win. Not bothered by how much.

Before last sunday I thought we might well have seen those who performed at Fev take the field. After the performance against Keighley I am not so sure. One thing I am confident about is that whoever is selected will know that he has to give 100% this week and not take it lightly or I fear his career at MP may be short lived.

Even then I expect it to be a difficult match, Workington will want to put on a performance in front of their home crowd and I see they have a big pack, which is what you usually get up there. Would not surprise me to see the Dogs scrape home with a single points margin.

I'm sure you'll give us a good game. No-one at Batley is taking this one lightly, no matter what the weather!

According to JK's comments today, it looks as if Lewis Palfrey is going to play. Will be interesting to see where he fits in and what happens to the others in the playmaker positions.

Id put him in as a straight replacement for Gareth Moore, who was dreadful last sunday.

If Lewis plays like he did at Featherstone, id have him in ahead of Moore every time.

id like to think he'll play Black at 7 and Palfrey at 6 if Palfrey's in the side.

am sure the lads will be well up for this one after last weekend, should be 46-12 to the dogs but who knows what team will turn up. on the subject a gareth moore he his a nice lad and as a few tricks in his bag but am sorry he ends up been shoved around far too easy game after game.so palfrey will do fine. we missed jc and walmsley and breth last weekend, am hoping mauno gets back on form too as hes been far too quite.

I am not confident about this one. Long journey, probably a re-arranged team,Workington will be seriously up for it, would like to think our extra fitness will come through though.
I will go for 16-28 to the Dogs. After an arm wrestle, that this time ,we will win.
WHERE DO YOU WANT ME TO SWIPE THIS?
