The Raw and The Cooked by Fine Young Cannibals and one track from the album sums up how I feel today after 4 days on the pop, "Im not the man I used to be".

And that song they did about Morgan Freeman:

"He drives Miss Daisy..and no-one else...he drives Miss Daisy.....cos she can't drive herself".

FYCs did a brilliant cover of 'Suspicious Minds' - Roland Gifts' incomparable voice did a far better job than Elvis at his best.

Just listening to some of my favourite tracks while i let the evening drift aimlessly by - Supertramp, 'Lord is it mine' followed by

a bit of Jim Croce 'Dreamin Again'.  Seems like everything i listen to lately has Rovers connotations.

I Can't think of 3 albums to sum up how I feel right now and I don't know if its an age thing but I've just listended to The Raw and The Cooked by Fine Young Cannibals and one track from the album sums up how I feel today after 4 days on the pop, "Im not the man I used to be".

Saw george thorogoood and the destroyers at Roundhay Park along with Joan Jett, Joe Jackson and of course the Rolling Stones circa 1981. Have to say the best act "by a country mile" was Joe Jackson whose set was fantastic. I have to say that I and the rest of my party were disappointed with the Stones offering.

1982 spud.....I was there.
Wasn't j giles band there too?
Seen joe jackson a few times. I bought his album "I'm the man' with my winnings from 40/1 ben nevis in the national in 1980.
Great live act. In 82 they did an acapella verson of 'is she really going out with him'...... it was awesome!

82 it was then. That acapella version blew every one away. But my favourite is still the single I'm The Man.
