An outstanding performance by them a real brown pants job for 65 mins take nothing away from the Navy lads best display ive seen fro an amatuer side esp one who only play friendlies.
Same at the Knights, the Dockers played realy well, and like the Navy were leading, until fatigue set in. Well played to the Dockers and the Navy boys!

Third game on the trot now that we have been poor in the first half to come out strong after the break. Think we need to tighten up more and close up the gaps we leave. Well done to the Navy for a game performance.

two corrections to the Sky Sports report on the game. David BRADBURY replaced Jor McCLOCKLAN in the Hunslet 17, and Hunslets last try was scored by Gaz DAVIES not Ryan BENJAFIELD.

A good day out for the Old Boys dispite the 12 v 86 score,i'd say that the percentage was 30%/70%ish in pos,to much defence to take on board, att was given at 700ish i would av said 1,200 onwards,Fev ad a full team out and 2nd team subs but enjoyed the day out a win was never on the cards......

Yes it was Benjafield what scored. Thought we struggled today, panicked at times and didn't do the basics!.Didn't pressurise the Navy until 20 mins from the end, started passing it out left, created overlaps but went for glory themselves,( they will never learn ).Its a team game to create chances (overlaps) and rack up the points for the TEAM.Not personal glory, glory comes with team effort in my book!!.
Couple of things i've noticed is that theb wingers get more passes in a match from the ball boys than there own players, and why when were going forward near opposition try line does Davies just about stands on wingers shoulder, but when were defending he often leaves a wide gap between himself and his winger.
Well played the Royal Navy, thought you were excellent today.

I think Nathaniel needs to either be played as a winger or not at all, his refusal to pass is almost criminal, both times when we were 14-10 down and the winger outside him unmarked, these 2 missed chances (garuenteed tries) could of cost us the game.
The Navy team was a joy to watch, playing a more open style, not the Australian game that every club now plays.

Glad other people are noticing the overlaps, its not just josh, sometimes even he don't get passed to!. We've seen how we can muscle up and defend, all i want is someone to take charge on pitch and pass out to centres and wingers, its to our advantage if we can capitalise on our chances,we may not win games, but at least we should be competing.
Wishing success to Hunslet for rest of the season (fingers crossed).

Ill ignore the elbow which lead to a broken cheekbone piggyback tackles to the neck and the punch and talk about the other bits.
The first 20 minutes were great to watch, HOB were tackling fantastically and chasing everything, even coming out on top on what looked like a lost cause on some occasions.
Jamie Fields (10?) had a blinder with the boot!!
Cummins Out.

I hear the Navy train once every 6 weeks but today it looked like us who do this playing as individuals.Glad other people are noticing the overlaps, its not just josh, sometimes even he don't get passed to!. Yes we need a leader & organiser something that showed today, we seem to play to a gameplan of up the middle, even if there is a 2 or 3 man overlap no one sees it or has the thinking of breaking the the plan and move the ball out wide when needed!

Benjafield was announced as the scorer but I had my doubts-- checked with our coaching team after the game and was told it was DAVIES-- will check again today by asking the players.

Got to start by adding my congratulations to the Navy, an excellent effort in both attack and defence for a good hour, and the two first half tries they scored demonstrated superb ball handling and support skills. I'm pretty sure they could have been a few pro teams with that performance.
As for us, well a try after 45 seconds can't disguise the fact that once again for the first 25 minutes the team performance can only be described as "abject", and this is becoming a real problem for us. The timing of when things start to improve tends to suggest it might be something to do with the first round of substitutions, but I can't see anything obvious to do with the starting line-up, and the substitutes - and those who are substituted - are not the same people every week !! Once again by the second half we were flying, but it's almost as if we have to take time out to get to know each other again at the start of every game.
Well done to Haigh and Lowe, the best players in Hunslet shirts yesterday. I had the last try down to Davies as well so it'll be interesting to find the truth!!

Congratulations to the Royal Navy, an excellent performance from 1-17!
As for us, it wasn't the best performance by any means but we did what we needed to do and that was to go through, lets hope for a positive draw tonight, were due one!

Think the figure given was 302 which was probably about right.

Yes 302, not bad to say half off South Leeds, were in Featherstone, Whitehaven and St Helens.
