We always used it for our Bowls fundraiser as well.

I walked up to the game versus London Skolars to find The Church shut myself, on walking past the Church i bumped into two Skolars fans looking for a beer after a 250 mile trip from London.
I said no problem The Church being shut i will take you to the bar in the ground. On walking round with them and having a bit of North South good natured banter, we arrived at the entrance at about 1.40pm. To be told due to health & Beauty and changes in restrictions we now have to go in the Turnstiles and then walk round into the bar..... No problem, i am all for following procedure.
Myself and my two new cockney friends wandered to the turnstiles to find about 10 stewards milling around and not one turnstile open until 2pm, lots of shrugs, lots of sorrys, but still no pint.
Oh well, Radcliffe Arms, Dale Bar...? I was determined to show my southern friends a proper northern pint... Both the Radcliffe & Dale Bar are shut due to i am told, the landlords new pub on Bolton Rd taking up most of his time.
As we resigned ourselves to waiting my skolars friends then told me how they where not allowed to park on the club car park as they didnt have the right pass, they where told by the power mad steward. So they put there £5 back in there pocket and parked on a side street. £5 lost!
I mentioned this to our chairman when after dying of thrist i arrived in the bar to find it pretty full of other fans who HAD been allowed through the main entrance!!!!! Oh well, we got there in the end.
East Hull, I arrived at about 1.55pm, turnstiles shut and again i had collected 4 Easts fans outside the Church, who where also Hull KR fans and explained they always had a beer in The Church when they came to visit us.
I explained the Skolars problem to them and guess what, i entered the main entrance to be told... Sorry cant come through here due to health & Beauty, it being a sunny day, and my shirt was creased etc, etc...(you get my jist) anyway our chairman was stood in reception and pointed me to a window and welcomed me in. Whilst The Church, Dale Bar & Radcliffe are all shut, how about letting fans in throught the main entracnce from 1.30 onwards and advertising the fact that they can get a beer? Hence making some money for the stadium company etc etc. Just a thought? And can someone take note of the Skolars fans car park comments, an empty car park and "sorry you can't park on here" Is difficult to understand for a weary visisting fan. Its not whitebank, but at least the Oldham club dont need asking twice when you wave some money at them. Come on Hornets lets make hay while the sun shines, while of course making sure we follow procedures and health & safety etc, Lets advertise on the wonderful club website for visiting and home fand where they can get a beer, before and after the game and how they can get into the ground.
Hopefully my post are viewed as positive, and I cannot be held responsible for causing any offence to anyone associated with this message board

Given the gate of 303 there should be no reason why these guys could not have been having that pint within Spotland Stadium. I recon they will have supped the thick end of £220.

Yes its shut, which starts me onto a bit of a whine, but hopefully someone at the club will capitalise on this issue.

Don't know what the problem was with the two skolars fans being turned away at the car park as any one can park on it as long as they pay the £3,and no one was turned away from parking on it that day.
As for the bars i agree we shouldn't be turning away the chance for the stadium company and Hornets to make a few bob.

Thanks for the response on the Church. Still wondering why we are on a 1pm kick off ? anyone know ?
At a guess I'd say that the ground staff need the time to prepare the pitch for the Dales home game the day after.
