Featherstone Rovers would like to thank supporters for their patience regarding the confirmation of the day and kick off time of our Carnegie Challenge Cup Fourth Round tie against Castleford Tigers.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are still not in a position to confirm details of the fixture due to discussions taking place between the RFL and broadcasting partners regarding which ties will be broadcast live on TV. We have been informed that a final decision will be made on Thursday 29 March (tomorrow).
However, Featherstone Rovers can confirm that tickets for the game will go on sale to SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ONLY at 6pm at the Big Fellas Stadium on Thursday 29 March prior to the Fans Forum event with Chief Executive Craig Poskitt. Season ticket holders will be able to purchase an unlimited amount of tickets.
Once all details have been finalised we will announce dates for when MINI SEASON TICKET holders can purchase match tickets and when match tickets will go on GENERAL SALE .
Craig Poskitt said "I'd like to thank everyone for their interest and by the volume of enquiries the club has received over the last 48 hours, this game along with Destination Super League has got the town buzzing with our loyal fans and returning ones too. We will release details as soon as possible as well as confirming a great hospitality package which is already proving extremely popular."

Are season ticket holders going to be able to buy tickets over the phone? It's a long way for me to get in person!

so if your featherstone born and bred but not a season ticket or mini season ticket holder due to work or other commitments but attend 80% of home and as many away games as poss you have to wait and get whats left.
This is how we build our fan base, GREAT next you'll be tellin me the seat i've sat in for years for free will cost me extra too.

You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if its late.

If you attend 80% of home games then maybe you should consider a mini season ticket, would save yourself money and ensure you got a ticket!!
If you like I can pick 1 up for you tomorrow night?
Genuine offer, just give me the cash beforehand.

Season ticket holders have always been able to buy tickets first for big games this happens at all clubs Regarding paying for the seat I personally think that fev should charge an extra £1 to sit down so the club can generate more money and not just for this match but for them all How many grounds can you go in and sit down for nothing when paying £14 By the way how much are the tickets for this game if it had of been at Cas we would of had to pay more to stand up and then pay extra if we wanted to sit down

What if you can't make the fans forum tomorrow , will season ticket holders get another chance to purchase tickets first before they go on general sale?

Season ticket holders have not always been able to purchase tickets first for big games, it did happen many years ago bot then stopped at rovers for some reason. At last years grand final ticket sales I went to purchase some seating tickets on the day they went on sale, but the ones I preferred had already been sold to first come first served. When we played at Headingley a few years ago people who only went for the day out had better seating tickets than those of us who are season ticket holders. I would therefore like to thank the BOD for having the sense to revert back to this, and if we had played at C@s it would have been £20

Yes but tickets for those games couldbe bought before we knew who had got there.
Maureen do you know if these tickets are £14 or do both clubs agree a price and would you agree with charging to sit down to make extra money ?

Charging extra to sit down is a good idea but how many extra stewards would be needed to manage it? The family stand is too open to control effectively.

Sorry you are missing the point here I think, I bought my tickets at the clubhouse I asked for them for a certain place but was informed that they had all been sold that evening.I have heard that C@s wanted to charge full wack but naturally rovers wouldn't be happy about this, so I surmise they have reached a compromise on the price. No I don't think they should charge extra to sit down, unless your a C@s fan of course, now that's different

Wouldn't mind paying £17 / £18 to see this one but doubt others would. Comments of 'ripping off fans' would be aplenty!
