Storm worth their 34-22 win over Knights. sloppy defence in the 2nd half gave Knights 3 easy tries, at least Bellamy can do some butt kicking at training over it.

The opposition are having a problem with way Storm are getting the rub of the green with the officials, Gidley got annoyed with one call got marched back 10 Storm score from it.

Gidley went off late with his dodgy knee looking more dodgy, Buderous went earlier with possible concussion, Benny could have some issues for next week!

Storm are looking ominously good at present!

Listening to the radio commentary, they sound like they in prime form, including young master Widdop.
"Journalists are meant to be neutral, for God's sake." - Stephen 'Wiggy' Jones

"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore

"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

Broncos v St George, Saints suprisingly not at the races first half allowing Broncos to dominate going in 24-0 at half time. the Saints must have got a butt kicking and the Broncos stepped back a bit and saw their first half lead disappearing, a nervy end saw the Broncos run out 28-20 winners, Saints rueing their slack start will reflect on what might have been.

Strange game the broncs st george one, brisbane seemed to be shocked to be winning and suddenly got nervy while the dragons suddenly realised the game had started and decided to play a bit! Some nice elemenst and speed of the play, bullet miss passes, a few good hits but some shocking goal line defence. Also: you can score with your body! really? oh dear.

Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

Yeah, it's fine having the downward pressure, but I think there needs to be some sort of control over the ball. Brett Morris had no control over that ball at all.

Boy are Souths missing Sandow as they seem clueless at times making Sam captain is a bad idea he is too injury prone went off early with a medial ligament strain, Maguire won't be turning them round so easily. Sheens would have been pleased at the Tigers stepping up from recent games but todays match is no measure for how they will do next one.

I'm really glad I didn't post this when the Tiggers were leading 16-4 with 15 to go. Wests lost their heads giving Souths to much yardage with silly strip penalties and Souths score two quick converted trys to level the scores to 16-16 with less than 2 mins to go, goes to the golden and Inglis gets the point with a scrappy kick but they all count, The psychology of the two teams will be a bit different now, I could have rewritten the first paragraph but thats how I saw it at the time.

Eels beating the Seagulls was unexpected even with Hayne back in, Watched a bit of the Titans against the Doggies a close first half but the Doggies manged to pull away in the second half.

Another great win for the mighty sharkies, carney drop goal nicking the points. Top 8 is not too an unrealistic aim. :)
