Can we make it four out of four? Sadly Johnny won't be there to witness it in person but will, of course, be there in spirit.

Surely 3 out of 3 or are you counting Batley in there? The winning sequence at the moment is the last 5. Come on BSJ credit where its due.

Our winning run consists of beating two CC1 teams, an amateur side and two of the weakest teams in CC.
I think Fev will win 30-10, if we could get bonus point that would be a bonus.

Don't know what they are putting in the water over there but I think you will go down by 30 plus (as will many teams btw)

You beat them at their place quite easily?

Tbf that was both teams fielding about 7 players each who hadnt featured in the first team yet... Plus it served as a catalyst to give the team a kick up the ######.

Which players were those then just as a matter of interest?

Sheffield would take all three points. Instead they don't even get a bonus point......

Black and Mennell weren't in the Batley squad (Thats all I can remember from the Bulldogs).... looking back at the team list, it wasn't so much a second string for Fev than first teamers making debuts (England, Maloney & Freer) players returning from injuries (Hepworth) and giving game time to some younger players... not as understrength as I thought!
Cummins Out.

We have had some good victories lately, but now we face a top team and, judging by the Sheffield result (then top of the league), we might be hit the same way. I think the score will not be in our favour.

This will (as others have said) will be a test of how much we have come on. In reality we've looked good against lesser sides, (with no disrespect to York, Swinton and the teams in the lower levels). Fev are totally different. TBH I think a BP would be a good result, but if we can keep our concentration for the full 80 then it might be closer than some predict?

I dont think wev played for a full 80minutes yet and believ wev alot more to come, normaly the big games, like against Fev sunday make you raise your game and if we play with intensity and play the good rugby wev been playing in parts for the full 80 minutes then Fev could be aliitle shocked come sunday afternoon...
I reckon itl be a belter but we must not stand off Finny and let him run the show, must get in his face oh,and not take his dummys!
One thing Warren as on sunday is a fullstrength team and 2 or 3 good players will have to be left out,i wouldnt however change our halfbacks think Patch and Spaven are playing well together.
and id also maybe drop Cook and have Blakey starting and Flanners on the bench as a impact player.

My team would be:-
1. Craven
2. Akaidere
3. Spicer
4. Faal
5. Buchanan
6. Southernwood
7. Spaven
8. Crossley
9. Blake
10.Jones
11.Tonks
12.Barker
13.Walker
14.Flanagan
15.Bolger
16.Cooke
17.Harris
My instructions before kick off would be to give one player the job of coming out of the defensive line like lightening and going at Finny full throttle, fairly but hard. Let him know somebody is around.

6 tries to 5, so maybe not that 'easily'
....Mennell weren't in the Batley squad.....
Mennell copped a charge of 'Conduct contrary to the true spirit of the game'
