Broncos back down to Earth for me.

London 12 Les Cats 34.
On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....

"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

Already we have a must win game for the Broncos. Defeat and there will be a yawning six point gap between the club and eighth spot.
The season can be decided here - Two wins out of the next three games (incuding Dewsbury) and Rob's secure until the end of the season as coach. Three defeats and the "Powell out" cries will cause a meltdown. Confidence is fragile at the club who need to back up the win against Wakefield achieved with a basic five drives and a kick game plan straight out of the Tony Rea playbook.
It will be close and although the crowd may well be higher than expected, a lot will hang on the players attitude. As Brian McDermott put it once in my presence. A player can go out carring a few knocks go out for the warm up and feel the atmosphere of a big crowd and it's game on. Conversely you can go out on a cold evening in front of a sparse croad, the sounds of the loyal and loud echoing around the ground and few away fans and it's all kind of flat. Whichever side can find self-motivation will come out on top.
Broncos by 2.

I was sat on the Underground train, and there was a girl looking at me. She was pretty good looking, too, I thought, "something's wrong here - girls as hot as that don't take an interest in me".
Then she came over and said - in a really strong Cockney acent - "excuse me, are you Sam Tomkins?".
She asked me for my autograph, and I was made up...until she asked me to make it out to her boyfriend. I was gutted, I thought she wanted my number

After we were well beaten by South Sydney at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 2010, a coupl;e of kids maybe eight or nine years old took their Wests Tigers jerseys off as I was walking off the field and threw them at me. "What's this" I said "You can have the jersey" one of them said "we don't go for West Tigers anymore". Then they ran back to their parents who were laughing. That was difficult to take, having kids who look up to you do that. I just dropped the jerseys on the ground and kept walking. It's not like we go out and lose by 50 points on purpose

I think London will have a chance here with the right game plan and if they manage to make life difficult for their opponents. Catalans will realistically be wanting to get it over and done with as quickly as possible and may well have an eye on Monday's game.

London by 8.

Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:

Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.

It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.

Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

If Catalan play well they will win by at least 12 points.
On the other hand if the Broncos can continue on from saturday
and The Cats have one one of there away day stumbling performances it could be close.

London 22 Cats 28.

I was hoping to listen to a commentary of the match as I can't get there. Radio London doesn't seem to have it online. Does anyone know of a link? Thanks.

Isn't there an old Chinese philosophical question?

"If a rugby match takes place but no-one sees it, is it still a rugby match?"

Discuss.

Seems lower than normal but when you take the regular northern away fans out, one can assume 1800 odd is London's regular crowd so I doubt they've had much of a drop in regular support.
About time I updated this.
