Possibly a long afternoon for the Reds.

Hudds 46 Salford 16.
On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....

"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

Possibly a longer remainder of the season for The Giants, and whichever players are to follow their coach out of the door.
As this is the first of at least 3 meetings this year between these 2 clubs psychological advantage will be important.
Lots of pace in the backs of both sides so keeping errors to a minimum,or preventing them altogether, and a good kicking game could be key on what may be a wet surface and where there may be a reaction to the decision making of Nathan Brown.
Salford did win away in West Yorkshire after their last home defeat and with there being an excellent team spirit in the camp
I predict an away win on this one.

most of the key Giants players are tied into long contracts, any others are probably welcome to go with him.

Salford have a habit of turning the giants over at easter and signalling a run of poor form for us.

I hope Salford do more than make a game of it. Reds by 10. (Fingers crossed  )

I don't recognise the ref but he's having a shocker here today.

He was without a doubt the worst ref I have seen in many a season.

Utterly inconsistent and one sided. Giants should have had 60 on the board and he tried his best to get Salford a try in the second half.

It's not often fans who've seen their team win so comfortably boo the ref off.

Eh? Huddersfield fans are among the worst for moaning about the ref - win, lose or draw.
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:

Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.

It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.

Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

He was certainly poor and one-sided.It's not often the away supporters,in the first half, sing 'Are you James Child in disguise?'

How neither he,nor the touch judge, saw Sean Gleeson lifted and carried from the field and dumped well beyond the touchline gives him a clear lead in the 'incompetent officials hammering Salford award for 2012.'He missed more forward passes than he apparently saw, didn't bother with the offside and demoralised players and spectators alike. As for the penalties against Salford...
Before you ask,yes I was behind the sticks and I managed to see it/them etc.
The best side won but the injured, battered Salford players kept going and did themselves quite proud in my opinion. The Huddersfield coach has had 4 years in putting his side together and Salford weren't too far behind.

Huddersfield didnt get out of second gear really, but Salford did put some great attacks together

I dont think Salford were onside all game, at some points they were almost in the Huddersfield attacking line they were that far in front of him. Not to mention the utterly random way he was policing the ruck

The worst moment though was when he was about to award a try and was bullied into ruling it out by the Salford players.Utterly unnaceptable

I don't think he was one sided. He just had a really bad game all round.

It happens. Nothing to worry about, but I suspect he was glad when the final hooter went.

That was something of a low point.
