No place for that on a rugby field, tough enough sport without that. Yep the tackled player was throwing his legs about that struck the Hornets player in the side of the face, but look how his body is whilst on the ground. To get back horizontal to play the ball, he has to kick his legs out to regain a play the ball position.

Edit. Looking at it again the tackled player did kick him in the face which looked intentional. Look at the position of his head, he gets a clear view of the tacklers head, and his own feet.

6 of one half a dozen of the other, the Cru player knew what he was doing kicking out at Gary's head imo and deserved the slight tap he got back.

Swinging at a player with his back turned is hard though isnt it

Show the full match and watch the antics the crusaders players were up to in nearly every tackle lots of elbows and other bits of the body dropping in.Gary deserved to be sent off and it looked worse on Sunday than it does in the video but dont pretend your players are little angels as you had two up before the RFL.
Success does not consists in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.

To kick a grounded man in the head is lovely behaviour, but hey if you are happy to have that at Hairnets......

Time and again, I've said that kicking legs about after being tackled, is going to get someone hurt.

This time it got two lads sent off. the ref called it well, considering. The Crusader doesn't look to be "kicked in the head" it was a movement of the foot, it might have hurt, but doesn't look too vicious on this footage.

Perhaps the RFL should look at the "flailing legs" thing.

But its ok to kick a man in the head if your the one lying on the ground ??? Take of your cru tinted specs and see it for for it really was. Both men were in the wrong but the cru player is not an innocent party in this instance.
