Cas off a win at Wakey and Saints licking their wounds after their not so close home loss to the Pies.

Still think Saints will have that little bit too much though.

Cas 16 Saints 28.
On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....

"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

SEVEN CHANGES FOR TIGERS

Castleford coach Ian Millward has been forced into seven changes for Monday's home clash with St Helens.

Rangi Chase, Richard Owen, Nick Youngquest, Danny Orr, Daryl Clark, Oliver Holmes and Grant Millington all picked up injuries in Friday's win at Wakefield.

That means winger James Clare, prop Steve Nash, hooker Ryan Hudson and the versatile James Grehan are all recalled to the squad while John Davies gets his first outing of the season.

Academy players Ben Johnson and Josh Atkinson could also make their debuts if they make the matchday 17.

Saints coach Mike Rush is also forced to shuffle his pack after three of his players picked up injuries in the Good Friday defeat to Wigan.

Jonny Lomax, Jon Wilkin and Tommy Makinson all miss out but their absence is tempered by the return of Paul Wellens, Anthony Laffranchi nd Gary Wheeler while Adam Swift is also included in the 19-man squad.

Castleford: Dixon, Griffin, Emmitt, Ferres, Walker, Snitch, Jones, Milner, Hudson, Mitchell, Massey, McGoldrick, Nash, Thompson, Clare, Davies, Grehan, Johnson, Atkinson.

St Helens: Wellens, Gardner, Shenton, Soliola, Meli, Hohaia, Perry, Roby, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Puletua, Flannery, Laffranchi, Flanagan, Clough, Wheeler, Magennis, Dixon, Jones, Swift.

Can't see past a big St Helens win here. Is Gaskell still confined to U20s? After a good start to the year a couple of poor team performances and it seems he's slipped from contention.

Are those seven really injured? Or is it possible that Mr Millward is worried about playing a lowly semi-professional team a few days later?

Smart thinking from IM this time last year we lost huby through over playing, the sts game is a hard game to win at the best of times not to mention when all the players are fatigued, fev next week is a must win game and should not be taken lightly IMO sts by 12 with a spirited performance from the cas young lads

Not sure the exact state of the injuries but I assume a couple must only be knocks, their faith in their young backups is admirable IMO.

Aye, but we lost three players to injury during the game and so had one interchange left.

Spirit of 2011 returned for us, in the negative and positive sense.
